Nhsf Bristol Hindu Society Description

Namaste,

Welcome to NHSF Bristol Hindu Society!

Winner of Bristol SU Student Society of the year 2016 and SU Collaboration Award 2017, National Hindu Students Forum (NHSF) Bristol is an expanding society, we aspire to create a ‘home away from home’ atmosphere for all our members and provide them with an amazing opportunity to learn about and experience the Hindu religion and culture. NHSF is the largest Hindu student body in Europe, which aims to protect, preserve, practice and promote Hinduism amongst the Hindu student population. NHSF Bristol is one of over forty chapters representing the rapidly expanding network of NHSF UK.

We support our members to fulfill their cultural, spiritual, educational and social needs through a wide range of dynamic activities including socials, celebrating festivals, helping in community projects and a weekly Aarti (prayers). This society provides an amazing opportunity for Hindus to practice their religion but also for others to experience the Hindu religion and culture. It also gives you the chance to meet new people, share and express your opinions and indulge in the exciting events for the students of Bristol such as:
• Weekly Aarti (Every Monday at 6pm in the Multifaith Chaplaincy)
• Dola Re (Charity Garba Event) - Saturday 7th October 2017
