@pretamangeruk make an awesome popcorn, white choc and salted caramel ‘bar’. And they shared the recipe on their Facebook page.
So we’ve had a go at making it today. This one right here is pretty much the same, we’ve just added some cranberries, raisins and coconut flakes.... And made it a bit bigger! It’s soooooo good!! 😍

... Can still remember our 1st day like it was yesterday. Weather was the same as today. First song on our play list was Lily Allen ‘air ballon’. We had @dhantamang1 making beautiful looking coffees and Mark @winchester_coffee_school with us too. Bakers and team ready and you could still smell the fresh paint!
So many unknowns ahead of us at the time. And there still are, but we keep doing what we do, and love to be a part of Reading 🙂 See you soon 🤓

After a long time ‘parking’ the idea of offering afternoon teas, we finally did our 1st one today, for a customer wanting a gluten-free and a dairy-free option for herself and her friend. And here it is! (Pictured).
... It’s simple, and made up of a selection of freshly made sandwiches, some of our staple cakes, and freshly baked scones, clotted cream, jam and fresh fruit, alongside tea of choice.
With us being a small team of bakers, often without enough hours in the day to keep up the stocks for the shop, slipping in afternoon teas might prove challenging at times, but we’re ready to take on this challenge alongside our daily routine and in time develop our range of afternoon teas to have a little more ‘finesse’ by offering more miniature, delicate options of cake 🙂 All in good time 🙏🏻
But for now, if you’re looking for a cosy spot for an afternoon tea, that’s baked on site, we are now taking bookings!!!!! 💝🗓💝

Would recommend to all Coeliacs, the food is delicious, nothing has gluten in, and all other allergens are clearly labelled. There's something for everyone. You've made my gluten-free life much less miserable, thank you! Oh, and the staff are all lovely :)

We came here with our children, one of whom is coeliac. Absolutely lovely cafe with fantastic gf food (whether you need gf or not!) and very nice staff. It was the first time we had been to a cafe that was truly gluten free (no gluten allowed on the premises) and one that doesn't feel like a health food shop - all the cakes looked just like normal cakes - no cashew nut frosting in sight! A great experience for our coeliac child - and a yummy experience for us! Scones were amazing! Thank you.

Trying to find a place that does good gluten free food is difficult. Nibsy's is 100% GF so we had to check it out and we were not disappointed. The toasties were great. The cake we tried- Carrot, date with beetroot and choc, choc ganache, coffee and walnut, all were so good. And the staff were / are a great bunch. We will be back

This was my first visit - Lovely friendly assistances , relaxed atmosphere & fab cake! So excited to have a cafe totally gluten free ! They also have sandwiches & quiche to eat in or take away ! Some items are suitable for vegans too.

This place has been an absolute delight during our year of living in Reading. The staff are friendly and helpful and the gluten-free food is hands down the best we have ever had. Bravo, Nibsy's. Keep up the good work.

Such a treat to have "normal" food out of home that is gluten free and tastes really good. Your cakes are amazing!! Orange and almond cake and coffee and walnut cakes are my personal favs. Even non gf people are happy to eat here too especially the really light and tasty cakes. The staff are so friendly and helpful too. Wish there more places like Nisby's!!!

I loved the ambience, the customer service especially when I wanted to change my order. Absolutely loved the cranberry and chocolate frangipane. Have been before. Always had a good experience. Looking forward to next visit.

Its amazing to be able to go in and order whatever you want being gluten free this becomes a challenge to eat out.

I don't suffer any intolerances (beyond politicians) but my family does. Nibsy's broad range of free from deliciousness is indistinguishable from the very best gluten/lactose/anthrax loaded cakes you might find elsewhere. The setting is also lovely, go "Parisian" on the pedestrian street, relax in the airy upstairs or cuddle up downstairs*. A simply excellent cafe, worth a special trip out of your way to enjoy.

I am only eating gluten free in here as my other half has to eat a gf diet. However all the food is fantastic and the staff are so polite! Never had a bad meal and the coffee is fantastic! I would recommend to people who need to eat gf or just want a good meal at an independent cafe! Please take a dive and give it a go!

Great range of food choice for gluten free as well as other dietary needs. My daughter's face lit up when I first took her there and I told her she could have whatever she fancied! � She's got so used to me telling her her choice of few options she has in most cafes and restaurants. � Thank you so much for existing! ���

Amazing coffee and cake. For a Gluten sufferer it's so hard to find a place for coffee and cake that actually taste like cake, but this place is amazing. The cake melts in your mouth and even my husband is amazed by the taste. Cannot recommend this amazing friendly, welcoming and professional place. Well done peeps. ���
