Feel happy with my haircut - just brought an image of what I wanted and was pleased with the result that was tailored to the share of my face.

*Update: Shortly after posting my review the owner of the company personally phoned me and apologised for my experience and offered a number of solutions to try to put things right. I really appreciate the effort the owner went to in standing behind his brand. Hopefully my experience was a one off.

Absolute worst hair cut experience I've ever had. Started off with a cold welcome from my hairdresser. I was initially asked what I wanted done. Half way through explaining I was stopped and told "Let me do my work and we'll see". Throughout the haircut not a word was spoken to me. At the end of the haircut I was shown my hair and asked my opinion. Due to the hairdresser not listening to my request it was cut far too short, without any texture or detail. The whole experience was rushed and completed in less than 15 minutes. Overcharged £34 for rude service and a bad haircut. Will not be visiting again

I visited Nicholson & Griffin for the first time and could not have been happier with the service and the quality of my haircut. A lovely chap called Michal cut my hair (who is also the store manager) and he managed to fit me in at very short notice. He did an amazing fade/crop cut and spent the time walking me through what he was doing. I would highly recommend N&G and especially Michal - the reviews below do not do the business justice - I have already booked in for my next appointment 5 weeks from now. I have tried the other barbers in Canary Wharf and this one is by far the best.

Horrendous experience! Even for just a simple clipper cut! Waste of time and waste of money Off to another hairdresser to fix it

I arrived for my 6.45pm appointment for a hair cut and beard trim and shape up. I left the premises with a hair cut and totally clean shaven because the barbers didn't bother listening to what I had instructed. I had kept my beard for almost two years but today I had to shave it all off. Very disappointment.
I expected better to be honest from a salon located in canary wharf. I usually pay £17 at my local barbers and get both services and they do a fantastic job. I paid £32 here for just the hair cut.
Thankfully they removed the beard charge.

I was expecting to have a nice haircut.
Arriving at the place thinking a £33 pounds haircut would be the best haircut I would have I was disappointed. I was at the salon for maximum 10 minutes and a haircut done. No finishing, very choppy, not nice details in my hair in fact blending doesn't exist. Very disappointed!!!!

Like this place. During the week you definitely need an appointment but has an online booking system that is easy to use and generally there's plenty available. The people there are all really nice and the prices are really reasonable considering it's Canary Wharf. Definitely recommend.

I visited the Canary Wharf salon about two weeks ago. Described as traditional barbers, I received a very poor cut, which has grown out to be even worse.

The lady cutting my hair used thinning scissors, which causes my care too grow out in very frizzy texture, she didn't section my hair properly (wish was shoulder length at this point) it was cut/hacked off in about 20 minutes. For the price of £38 I would expect a better quality.

It was also strange as I could see a gentlemen behind me, who was having a cut, that was being carried out in the manner I would expect at a premium salon. All I can say is that the staff were all very pleasant, and perhaps its just pot luck who cuts your hair and the odds weren't in my favour that day.
