One runner off to Ludlow Racecourse today where The Newest One goes in the 2.50, a 2m 5+f novices handicap hurdle.
... He’s only had four outings so far, a bumper and three hurdles, but yet to be out of the first five, has been making steady progress, particularly last time when 3rd at Sandown at the beginning of this month. All outings so far have been at around 2m and the step up today is expected to bring out some more. Experienced on similar heavy ground as forecast today, this looks a good opportunity and he can go close.

Five at Kempton Park today, some promising things to come.
12.40 - Our Power has had one run for us since joining our yard from Alan King, when 3rd over today’s course and distance on Boxing Day. He’s down 2lbs to 128 today, plus with a little more to come, he’s got a very good opportunity. A good run expected, Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.
2.25 - Zambella won three from five in France, but hasn’t had the best of starts since coming to us, unseating her rider on her debut, then... finishing 4th of 5 last time at Sandown three weeks ago. Needs to find some more but has shown plenty of ability and may find this better good to soft surface can help. Daryl Jacob rides.
3.35 - Crievehill had a great start to the season, winning on his first two starts, both on good to soft, but went up from 138 to 155 subsequently. Didn’t like the heavy ground at Ascot last time, but gets a pound back today and back on his preferred surface, can be a threat to all with trip to suit. Sam aboard.
4.10 - Echiquier had a good start to the season with a win at Hexham back in October, but didn’t go so well in the next three outings. Did go well to take 3rd spot over a similar trip to today’s 2m 4+f at this track in January off of 130, but pulled up last time at Sandown on heavy ground. Goes from top weight today but back on better ground can show more and a good run expected. Daryl in the saddle.
4.20 - Ballymillsy makes his racecourse debut in this bumper. Is well related to other bumper winners and has shown up well at home, so we are hopeful of a promising run. Sam rides.

... 🏇 1.25 - Tip Top Cat made his debut in a bumper here on New Year’s Eve, finishing a never nearer 7th of 14 then finished last of four on his hurdles debut at Market Rasen stepped up to 2m 4f. Drops a furlong here but whilst needing to find some improvement, looks sure to find it given time. Jordan Nailor rides claiming 5lbs.
🏇 2.30 - Ballyart has had four chases, showing improvement each time, gaining places, the last two creditable runs at Lingfield over 2m 7+f on heavy ground. Drops back to 2m 4f on similar ground and wears a visor for the first time from the same mark of 103. Deserves a change of fortune and looks to have a good chance. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.
🏇 3.00 - Vienna Court won on her hurdles bow at Ffos Las back in October and has shown steady progress since over four more races, winning the latest at Taunton Racecourse at the start of this month. All have been over 2m and the step up to 2m 3f in another mares event looks sure to suit and bring out more in her, so we’re very hopeful of continuing in a similar manner. Sam rides.

Three go to Huntingdon Racecourse today.
... 🏇 2.11 - Monarchofthegrange has had just the one bumper run at Chepstow back in early November, when finishing a down the field 8th of 12. Makes his hurdles bow over a similar 2m trip and though needing more experience, is expected to show more for the obstacles. Jordan Nailor aboard and claims 5lbs.
🏇 3.11 - Bit On The Side showed some promise in mares only bumpers, then made her hurdles debut at Ascot in a decent novices race, beaten just 10 lengths into 5th of 7 stepped up to 2m 5+f on heavy ground. Goes back to a mares only event over a furlong shorter here having gone well at this track in a previous bumper and now dropped to a class 4 event, is expected to show more improvement for the soft ground and can go close. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
🏇 4.11 - The Newest One is another to go well and show promise in both bumpers and three hurdles to date, gaining a couple of close up places. Now makes his handicap debut from a mark of 117, which sees him giving weight all round, but the form reads well and he looks to have a good each way chance, though we hope for better. Sam in the saddle.

🏇 1.55 - Kilpin has had a couple of hurdles outings, finishing midfield on his debut at Newbury, then showing improvement to take third at Huntingdon last time. Continues over 2m in maiden company and can continue the improvement looking a good each way prospect. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
🏇 3.00 - Don’t Shout won a novice event at Hereford following some promising bumper runs and another novice. Didn’t go so well on his handicap bow at Cheltenham in November, but has had a good break and expected to go well here down a couple of pounds to 118. Looks to have solid each way chances, Sam aboard.
🏇 3.31 - Florrie Boy made his seasonal reappearance over hurdles over hurdles at Wetherby finishing 9th of 12, having had a couple of chases in the summer, the last of which saw a good third at Worcester over 2m 7f. Returns to fences here sharper for the hurdles outing and the 3m should also suit. A good run expected on the same mark of 119, Jack Savage’s 3lb claim may come in useful getting weight from all his rivals. Each way hopes.
🏇 4.05 - Muckamore is an Irish point winner and he made a very promising hurdles bow when second at Leicester over 2m 4+f three weeks ago. Has come on for the run and the step up to 3m is also expected to suit following his pointing experience. Sam rides and the pair can go close.
🏇 5.10 - Supakalanistic came good again at Market Rasen a couple of weeks ago with a nice win over 2m 7f returning to hurdles after a spell chasing. Is up 3lbs to 120, but enjoyed the smaller obstacles and could still be on a useful mark down a couple of furlongs. Zac Baker continues in the saddle, takes off 5lbs and another good run expected.

🏇 2.18 - Onchan made a promising debut in a Haydock bumper going well early on before fading to 6th of 10. Goes over hurdles here upped to 2m 3+f and expected to show improvement for the trip and obstacles. Well related, can go better than his morning odds suggest. Jamie Bargary has the ride.

One today on the all-weather flat at Southwell, where Dorchester Dom runs in the 5.30, a 7f class 6 handicap. He’s had a couple of runs for us, not really getting in a blow on his debut at Wolverhampton over 6f, but then going better at Kempton over 7f, leading until fading in the final furlong. Has gone from a rating of 69 to 60 today, but the drop in class and different fibresand surface may enable him to take a bigger hand and may also result in some improvement.Liam Keniry rides.

🏇 1.15 - Torn And Frayed meets just three rivals but goes as the outsider of the four. Has gone well this season with two runners up slots from three races, including here over 2m 5+f just before Christmas. Back a couple of furlongs here, is clearly on the upgrade but we are hopeful of going close. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.
🏇 2.25 - Ballyoptic goes here in preference to Haydock. Enjoys these longer distance races and started his season in good style with wins at Chepstow and the Charlie Hall at Wetherby when upped 5lbs to 157. Went up another couple of pounds subsequently, coming last of four at Haydock then finishing mid-division at Aintree, both in December. Back to 157 here, he’ll enjoy the ground and having had a bit of a break, is expected to go well. Sam rides.
🏇 3.35 - Riders Onthe Storm meets just three rivals including triple course and distance winner Cyrname, but with two good wins behind us so far this season at Aintree and over course and distance too, we’re no forlorn hope with more to come. Another clearly on the upgrade, a good run is expected and he can go close. Sam in the saddle.

🏇 2.25 - Bit On The Side makes her second hurdles appearance, this time in a mares only event, after running in a good event over 2m 5+f at Ascot four weeks ago. She went well enough early on, but faded late on to finish 5th of 7. She drops back to 2m 4f on similar heavy ground today and though still highly tried, a better run can be expected. Tom Bellamy rides.

🏇 2.45 - Leroy Brown won on his bumper and racecourse debut at Worcester, then ran well to take 3rd next time in another bumper at Stratford. Pulled up on his hurdles bow at Ffos Las on inconsistent soft/heavy ground, he should go better here over a similar 2m 4f. Only four runners, but it looks highly competitive. Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.
🏇 3.20 - Rizzardo won comfortably at Huntingdon eight days ago, fulfilling some of the promise shown with two previous seconds from four chases this season. He’s up 9lbs to 116 but the manner of his win over a similar trip of 2m 4f suggests that he can cope with that and has a good chance of following up. Jordan Nailor rides and his 5lb claim may prove useful.
🏇 4.50 - Fantastikas has had two bumpers, showing promise with a good second place on his debut at Southwell in early December on soft ground, but then appearing not to cope with the heavy going when mid-division at Newbury a month ago. Meets the better ground today, expected to be much more competitive and can go close. Sam rides.
