On Sat 15 Sept 2018 at the Southall Army Reserve Centre, the UKs Armed Forces commemorated the Battle of Saragarhi.
NishkamSWAT volunteer and British Army personnel, Captain Brijinder Singh Nijjar meticulously flew in a Apache attack helicopter into the Reserve Centre. Captain Nijjar is the first Sikh in history to qualify to fly this type of machine, an inspiring achievement! His brother Lieutenant Harmeet Singh Nijjar also attended.
Alongside all their current workload in ...the armed forces, the Nijjar brothers still find time to fulfil their weekly voluntary duties with NishkamSWAT! Both young men hold tremendous values and are true role models to us all and future generations to come.
Please see the attached article which covers the event;

I called my old dealer, whose number I still had memorised after over six years of no contact, and one night drove out to meet him just like old times.
When my father died, I hadn’t been to a meeting in over a year. I had no active knowledge of how to apply healthy coping mechanisms to a devastating situation so I just went back to what I knew: opioids and numbness.
I’ll spare you all the details of the familiar downward spiral and just hit on the highlights: I depleted all o...

Setting a great example to us all. If you really care, give your time and enthusiasm. AND if you can, give your money. Not sure how I can help, but feel my efforts would be better spent and appreciated here that at Age Uk!

Big thanks to the awesome ladies at IWIL and our friends and family for coming along to the food distribution for rough sleepers at Charing Cross just now. A very humbling and satisfying effort in memory of our dearest Nainika! Yet another opportunity for us to do something special - Nainika's legacy lives on. An even bigger thanks to the SWAT team who tirelessly carry out charitable work including support to the rough sleepers and those in need.

We are grateful to the volunteers today for ensuring that allergy advice and info was written up clearly for all the food distributed today - first ever such effort in food distribution for the needy. Being sensitive to your own allergy needs is easy but being aware of and sensitive to someone else's condition is hard. Today was an effort that demonstrated you do not need to be an allergy sufferer to ensure a safe environment for others.

Removing the names of our Shaheeds from the SWAT vans to appeal to whiteness is disgraceful. Censorship of any dissenting voices is even worse.
