Founded in 2020 against the backdrop of dramatic climate events and a global pandemic, the NLC Sustainability Forum aims to promote the urgency and importance of change, and the opportunity presented - imagining the world we can create if we build back better. Due to COVID-19, a significant amount of investment will occur in the next 18 months, likely the last major influx of cash before the 2030 deadline for climate warming. It's therefore crucial to invest sustainably, and ‘build back green' from COVID-19, and utilise the opportunity to reach climate targets and the other Sustainable Development Goals. The new art of what's possible means being ambitious and imaginative in designing the future we want and understanding the competing interests and constraints of a complex world that need to be designed around to make it achievable. The NLC Sustainability Forum hopes to engage its diverse and accomplished membership to stimulate conversation, connection and action to make this vision a reality. Our Mission: Leadership — Provide thought leadership on the Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular focus on the structure of business, government and the arts. Connection — Connect and promote members and guests from all backgrounds who are passionate about sustainability. Action — Facilitate and create action on sustainability and climate change through education, advocacy and strategically connecting our network.
