The No. 178 social enterprise cafe sadly closed in December 2014, but like a phoenix from the ashes the space has reopened as The Rosemary!
No. 178, New Cross Description
Established and funded by Toucan Employment, No. 178 is a brand new social enterprise that serves a number of needs.
As a fantastic cafe we serve delicious seasonal food on rotation, from summer salads to hearty breakfasts. We offer exceptional coffee from HasBean and refreshing teas throughout the day.
We want to open our amazing space up to as many people and organisations as possible. So whether your looking to hold a workshop, a meeting, a gathering or any other event do get in touch! !
As a social enterprise we offer offer employment and training oppurtunities to adults with learning disabilities. All profit generated from the cafe get reinvested in Toucan Employment and its various social projects.
So if your in the area, in need of some light refreshment or want to work with us on creating a real community hub right here in New Cross then pop in!

We have now reopened as The Rosemary! Brought to you by the people behind Dig This Nursery and Toucan Employment, The Rosemary is a new Organic Hungarian Cafe/Restaurant.
Community runs through the heart of our business. We work closely with the No.178 Toucan Employment project as well as a number of other local organisations including Grow Wild, New Cross Learning and local schools to empower the community through nutrition and healthy living.
... Our space is to be shared and is open to all. So come join us for live music, events, tasty food, and healthy pressed juice from our juice bar or take time to relax with delicious teas, coffees and cakes.

Community stakeholder meeting this evening 6-8pm at the cafe. Update and discussion over future of No.178
Come and join us for some festive yummyness before we close for Christmas. We will be open until 4.30pm today then close until the 6th January. From all at No.178 Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
