An important message from local angler & conservationist Adam Wells - To all beach anglers..it's that time of year I try to raise awareness on breeding seabirds. The months of April and May are nesting months for species of birds such as Gulls, Terns, Ringed Plovers, and Oyster-Catchers...these birds tend to favour quieter sections of shingle beaches above the High Water Mark. Terns, gulls and oyster-catchers are very visible birds to see, but ringed plovers are a small wader... bird with cryptic camouflage both on them, eggs, and there chicks are very hard to see. PLEASE be very observant when fishing on shingle shorelines over the next couple of months. All beach anglers I personally know want to share in harmony the shingle beaches these birds need to breed on and would not want to destroy any breeding chances for these birds that are declining from our environment due to the impacts of humans. So Please Please be extra vigilant..Thank you all - Adam Wells

A lot of work has been carried out on Mopley Pond over the winter period with new swims & Otter fence being built! Looks like the Carp are waking up too with the mild Spring weather!

Another sad day for the angling community, many of us grew up watching & learning from John Wilson's TV programs & the good he did for the sport! RIP.

Sadly, Saturday was Noble's Fishing’s last day of trading. It's not a decision we've taken lightly, but feel it was the right decision to make.
Increasing competition from cheap online prices make it nearly impossible to compete, leaving very little profit margins. Drop in trade in general over the last couple of years also contributed to our decision. Sadly it comes down to the old saying 'If you don't use it... you loose it!'
We would like to thank all our customers for sup...porting the shop over the last 6 years, especially the loyal customers, who used us on a weekly basis. It's you guys that keep the smaller shops like ours going.
We've met some really interesting people and have made some great new friends along the way and look forward to seeing some of you out on the bank or beach in the future!
We'd like to thank Shaun Harrison, of Quest Baits, as he helped us out a lot when we first started. Sam Crouch, for working hard and all his contributions to the growth of the business. Steve Perry, for covering, allowing us to wet a line every now and again. Mum, who has been a huge support all the way through. And my late Dad, with his wise words and guidance. Finally the Noble's Fishing Team members, for some amazing angling and photos over the years, much appreciated!
Staurt Grieve, the manager of Cadland Fisheries will start stocking a small range of products & bait at Mopley Pond, so anglers will still be able to get the necessaries locally. A few weeks & he will be up & running!

All of the Cadland Waters are back open for fishing today. There are disinfectant dips in place on all lakes. All anglers entering must dip all Nets, Mats & Slings BEFORE Fishing! Anyone caught not using the dip will be asked to leave immediately. Checks will be carried out over the weekend!
