I often help my customers with domain issues, things like re-establish identity, or even ownership disputes, I have to say that every time I call Nominet the customer services is awesome, nothing is ever too much trouble. Great jobs, Stuart - Upshot Media Ltd

Having spent three hours on the phone to my Hosting Provider, due to a Nominet Suspension, listening to automated music and, dealing with the language barrier, I was beginning to lose the will to live!.





Out of desperation I decided to give Nominet a call, in the remote hope they could deal with the problem caused by the sheer incompetence of the Hosting Company. I was not holding my hopes up.





How wrong I was.





Within a few rings the phone was answered in a courteous friendly manner. A welcome UK accent meant I knew she would be able to decipher my thick Black Country dialect! and no "whilst your call is important to us we will make you endure awful music".





She informed me her computer was having network issues but she took my details and promised she would try to find out what had occurred and call me back. Again I did not hold my hopes up as it was Friday afternoon and experience has shown me that the weekend is a good way to avoid conflict with Customers as it gives them time to calm down.





Again I was wrong.





I received a call at around 5 pm informing me that the problem was resolved and that it was an error with the Hosting Company.





Whilst I realise it was the hosting Company that resolved a mistake on their part (nothing new there), I felt that the quality of the service I received from your staff meant that if they hadn’t fixed it, I would have been offered help and advice that would allow me to resolve the issue.

Changed ISP and after checking nothing would happen they stopped mailserver accepting email immediately. 4 days later despite daily phone calls tag unchanged. Spoke to two very helpful ladies who arranged for alternative way to re-establish my identity (as email address was now not working and I was at work with none of the standard proofs of address to hand). Once done tag transferred immediately on line. Cost less than first ISP charged for [stopping email and not] transferring tag.

Brilliant service from Nominet. It took a 2 days to sort out the problem I was having with the previous registrar, after running checks to make sure that I was who I said I was. I cannot fault the service, first class.

They won't approve my domain name because my ID does not match with the country ID. Those people never heard of foreigners living in an other country.

Not much cop , as if you have a wix web site you will have nothing but problems!

I have been a member of Nominet for a few years now and today they tried to blackmail me, I called back and complained, it then took about 2 min for Jonathan Watkins Head of Service Delivery to take the call and apologise for what happened but the fact is it did happen.



I have now cancelled my membership..

Biggest pain in the ass ever. Won't be buying a 'dot co dot uk' or similar domain again while these idiots manage it... 'dot com' is the way to go. (Had to spell it out as Fuckbook blocks URLs)
