"For me, there are few better feelings than knowing you’ve saved an animal’s life - particularly when they are somebody’s pet. It’s a big part of why you do the job to begin with.” (Alan Jaye, FBU Chairman)

How did you see in the New Year? Watton Crew's "celebrations" at the stroke of midnight looked something like this...
3 straw bales had been deliberately set fire to in Saham, they were called at 23.24 on 31st so saw the new year in putting them out!

User

Happy New Year to all of you. We want to say a big thank you to each and everyone of you who took the time to write us a message, comment on our posts or just a quick like so we knew you were with us in 2018. 🤗 It's been a busy year for all our staff and they've worked very hard to keep you all as safe as possible! 🚒 ❤️ 🚒
We hope you all have a safe and succesful 2019, if you are celebrating tonight, stay safe, book a taxi and have fun! 🎉 🎉 🎉

Despite it being Christmas, our Control Room, wholetime stations and retained stations have still been hard at work receiving 999 calls and responding to emergencies. Pictured is Green Watches from Control(visited by SM Fullalove), Kings Lynn, Great Yarmouth, Carrow, Earlham and our day crew from Thetford(receiving mince pies at an incident earlier today) with retained crews from Aylsham and Cromer.
Merry Christmas everyone and hopefully you don't need to call us but if you do then rest assured our crews are ready to respond 🎅

User

Happy Christmas to each and every one of you, from all of us at Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.
We hope you have the BEST, Safest Christmas ever 🚒😊🚒

Still time to make Santa’s Good List, our elves are making a list of chores & checking it twice! If you don’t clean & maintain your machine excess fluff or lint can build up over time & catch fire. Have you checked yours? #elfandsafety #christmassafety
More safety advice : 👇🏻
Wet & cold weather encourages us to use our tumble dryers more often. If you don’t regularly clean & maintain your machine excess fluff or lint can build up over time & catch fire. If fluff is allowed to... accumulate in the filter, near blocked vents & at the rear of the machine the risk of this fluff catching fire from the heat of the machine is increased. To use tumble dryers safely please consider the following- Remove lint from the machine after each load you dry, it then becomes a positive habit. Don’t use while sleeping or away from the home. Don’t cover any vent or openings on the machine. Always follow the manufacturers instructions. Don’t overload plug sockets. Ensure there are no more than 13amps in each plug socket. You can also register your appliance for free at www.registermyappliance.org.uk who will contact you in case of any safety repairs or product recalls on your appliances.

We have been working with @norfolkpolice setting up this dramatic scene outside Kings Lynn North Fire Station.
Unfortunately, this time of year often sees our crews dealing with the aftermath of people choosing to drive under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Kings Lynn white watch are pleading with you all to drive safe this Christmas and New year. #whosgoingtodriveyouhome

Station Manager Bob Ayers is about to retire after 30 years of dedicated service, he thought a nice way to see his career out would be the same way it started, back on the shop floor with Red Watch Kings Lynn on the big red truck!
Thank you to him for his dedication, friendship and professionalism. We are lucky in the Fire Service to have many people who dedicate 30 or more years to us and to the public and we appreciate every single one of them. ❤️🚒 ❤️

User

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be part of the the #FireFamily at Christmas?
This evening Massingham Fire Station will be delivering Christmas hampers that they have made, to retired members of their crew to make sure they have some necessities over the festive period and to show their appreciation for the Service they have given to their community ❤

Hi I'm really not sure if this is the right way to go about it but, I was involved in an accident with a cyclist on Tuesday 23rd Feb and there was a wonderful fireman passing on his work. I have no way of contacting him and would very much like to say a big thank you for all his help. He drives a silver vectra, tall man of slim build and would have been late to work that day. Please if anyone can help me get in contact with him I would be very thankful xx
