Went here today, first time for a family meal and we were rolling out the door we were that stuffed. We had a great meal enjoyed by all.

Been today for lunch, the staff from the barmaid to the waitress and chef were amazing, helpful and friendly. I had to change some of my order as on a strict diet and the chef was more than willing to do so, which I really did appreciate. Food was lovely and fast service. Would highly recommend. Thank you we will be back.

Absolutely beautiful food this evening. Our food came within 15 minutes of ordering. Drinks were brought to the table and we even squeezed a dessert in after. Aaron & Joe were fab, nothing too much trouble and when we ordered something that wasn't available we were offered a very similar alternative. Very friendly and efficient. Brill service guys keep it up. �

Well after a bad experience a few months ago, we decided to give it another go as they were advertising a new menu and chef. I am pleased to announce that it had improved again and the food has returned to a good standard. Well done to the Norman.

Popped in for lunch yesterday after having a bad experience years ago we thought we'd try again and were pleasantly suprised. Lunch for 3 adults and 2 kids with drinks £36 Very happy with service and food. Will be back :-)

I like Mark and the staff, the place is very good ....only one grumble is choice of Beers/Real ales.

We ask if we could take our little dog into the pub yesterday...into the area were all the workmen sit ..got told no.. because it's a matter of high gene we were told... i said what about all the work men in there in there dirty work gear.... he could not answer me... i carnt see what the problem is allowing our dog in with us... staying in a non food area... ?? Not happy.

The 90s night was very good. Good atmosphere and songs. Down side was the food. Quality is no better from when we went at christmas. Very dry meat had to put extra bbq sauce on and also sauce on the chips too. The food really let down the night

Since menu as changed smaller portions ,I suppose u get Wat u pay for ...okey for the money but there's better food out there ...!!but will still use norman as it near for us ....�

Sat at table 18! The table and the wall onto it are filthy! Tell the cleaners to clean all the table not just the top of it .. the side that runs round the table is old mucka too..the wall has drip marks and dirty hand prints ..it's off putting when you want to eat

Had the Route 66 burger - grease poured out - couldn't taste any of the food / even the fried mushrooms - thought the food had changed from last time but it hadn't .. Drinks are fairly priced and the initial service was good from the waitresses..

Loved the pub sadly was let down by food all day breakfast large size but couldn't eat due to egg shell in fried egg best part night out server luke hes a credit to you wud have complained n asked fer money back but was Valentine's night so didn't want the fuss

Disappointed to say the least came today for a birthday meal smallest portion of food I have ever seen served on a saucer � waitress deffo in wrong job although the young girl very polite ,poor show today Norman.

Ordered gammon and egg (well done egg) and 45 minutes later I got gammon with the wrong chips and boiled egg (wtf?!?) waiter didn't seem to care, no apology or anything! The woman on the bar who I can only assume is the manager had a face like thunder and didn't once crack a smile! Won't be back here in a hurry!

Well this is our 4th Christmas at the Norman and today must be far the worst meal I have ever had!!! I didn't finish any of my 3 course meals prawn and salmon starter very over cooked, dinner was stone cold, chocolate orange pudding was just like a extra extra large sick truffle no cake to be seen staff didn't once ask if meals was ok poor food and service and we will not be returning again so sad as 2-3 years ago this place was lovely with really good food I wouldn't have given it a 1* but there isn't a - option because they would defo get it there was 12 of us too and by looking at reviews they have definitely gone down hill Norman you should be ashamed not listening to you loyal customers!!! Merry Christmas �

So disappointed this evening we are regular customers here and came out for a birthday celebration of 6 people. We waited 45mins for starters to arrive which when they did mains arrived at the same time so we asked for them sending back to be recooked when we actually wanted them. After starters mains arrived all stone cold chicken breast had gathered a lovely skin over it along with the gravy and beans, chips and breadbuns were soggy and all inedible. Apart from the manager no one seemed to raise any awareness that this food wasn't acceptable to serve manager offered to have the food recooked but at this point we had been waiting over an hour and half for food so left with a refund and very minimal apology. I will certainly think twice about coming to my local for food in future.

Not very good when you get a hair and some sort of fluff stuck in your fish batter. Other than that I enjoyed the day in my freind*s company.

I seriously dont know whats happened here. I've been going here for years and sunday was the first time i was disappointed. Food was awful and my daughters order was wrong, it got sorted in end but the error was due to it been put through to the kitchen wrong and the waitress showing me the ticket trying to make me think i was the one that orderd wrong. For the last couple of days me, my partner and daughter have all been compliaining of stomach ache and the only common factor was we all had sausage and gammon, my son is the only one not to complain as he didnt have sausage or gammon. The menu is rubbish and dont seem much to choose from. Certainly wont be eating here again until it improves.
