Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's vision is people in our communities living happier, healthier and more hopeful lives.

We are the largest provider of NHS services throughout Cumbria. We have around 4, 000 staff that provide over 60 community and mental health services to a population of 500, 000. In any one year, we see around one fifth of the population from new born babies to the frail and elderly.

We operate from over 20 main sites and many other premises that are shared with other health or community services, such as GP surgeries.
Our services

Our services are organised into four Care Groups:
• Community Health - providing care in patients' homes or in community settings, such as health centres and community hospitals.
• Mental Health - supporting people with mental health problems to recover and live happy independent healthy lives.
• Children & Families - we promote a healthy start to life and provide healthcare services that are responsive to the changing needs of young people and their families.
• Specialist Services - our specialist services are led by experts in areas including dentistry, sexual health and diabetes. This growing group of services deliver smaller, specialist services into the communities of Cumbria.
For more information about our services, visit our website www. cumbriapartnership. nhs. uk.
Patient Experience
The Patient Experience Team provides a confidential advice and information service. They can help you to make a complaint, compliment or resolve issues you may be concerned about, signpost to other services, collate patient feedback and help you find independent support.
The Patient Experience Team are available 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.

There will be full road closures in place within Cockermouth Town Centre from 6.00pm on 5th September to 3.00pm on 6th September. Our Glimpse of Brilliance this week is for Alison Taylor, speech therapist in the children & families care group at Furness General Hospital. A member of staff emailed us to say: “I run a number of parent programmes every term for patients of children with a diagnosis of learning disabilities and/or autism and Alison has been fundamental to many of the families I have had the pleasure of meeting with. I have one family in particular who’ve repeatedly said how fantastic Aliso...n has been for them and their son, by providing them with some valuable support. This family feel that they would be in a really bad place if it was not for Alison and her continued support which has also included helping parents know what else is available to them in the local area. We have heard each week how Alison has built such a rapport with their son who is usually very shy and does not like meeting new people, he has also nicknamed her ‘the curly haired lady’. “I have also seen Alison go above and beyond for many parents in ensuring that they have the best support at the right time. This work is instrumental in ensuring that families have the best skills and knowledge to get it right for their children.” Well done!
