One of the best place to stay. They hotel have a nice fire place with a good chimney breast. The amenities... what should I say! Best! Have not used the spa, but my colleague said it is a fantastic place.
I gave the spa four stars. Haven't stayed in the hotel but it looks nice. Can't get myself to pay £15 for fish and chips so haven't tried their restaurant. Ordered a drink and it took forever. But the spa area is nearly perfect.
Ended up being offered a suite at North Lakes due to problem with the room we booked at sister hotel. Never before have I burst into tears on entering a hotel room. Supposed to be luxury suite, had a conference table & 5 chairs, stained carpet, enamel peeling off bath, toilet roll holder broken and what looked like a makeshift wooden bed base. Sorry but the whole room was horrible ended up not staying and having what should have been romantic birthday meal at Macdonalds drive through on 3 hour drive back home.
The location was great and the building looked beautiful and quaint. The staff we're all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast service was delicious. The spa facilities were amazing, had a good relaxing weekend using them. There are many treatments available, can be costly but worth the price. The rooms were clean and comfy,
Our annual dinner dance was held early in the Christmas party season. The room was nicely decked out, the DJ worked hard to get the party started (all helped by the offer of a bottle of wine for the most interactive table!) even while food service was underway, and the black jack and roulette tables kept interest going throughout the evening. The meal was served efficiently, well presented and enjoyed by most.
We stayed in one of the recently refurbished executive rooms which was spacious, comfortable, and had a modern bathroom, well it had a walk-in shower instead of bath. Beware that the shower may prove to be a little bit slippy to some people.
Overall an enjoyable event
Location is good for informal meetings, but don't expect to be stunned by the place, and the service is good if a little regimented in thinking. It's perfectly fine for what it is, and I'll happily keep using it, but it's fairly average.
Other than one bar bring twice the price of the other, this was a perfect place for a wedding reception. Looks the part, you'd never know you were next to a busy roundabout as all the views a very green and open, very lovely staff. All round very enjoyable.
Good location close to the motorway, clean but slightly dated looking rooms however the dinner was above average.
Excellent facilities, friendly staff and a great restaurant make for a nice option for a weekend break. Highly recommended
