Our Why ?

We exist because we’re passionate about extending the opportunities for young players to have amazing experiences (and careers) in football, whilst developing themselves educationally at the same time.

We believe that after over a decade of practice, social play, trials, games, goals, injuries and being taken god knows where by your parents, your football journey shouldn’t just stop at 16, 17 or 18.

We believe that the door for a professional career doesn’t just slam shut at these ages. In fact, what (and where) you can development that goal actually grows at this time.

How we see though our ‘why’ is based on our people; all hugely experienced, networked and successful in the game. From full internationals to the owners of clubs, there is no college academy that boasts the full compliment of experiences required to not only help you develop but then be able to deliver on that improvement you’ll make.

About North of England Football Academy (NETA)

We’re creating an atmosphere at the North of England Football Academy where your time with us reflects what it’s like being at a top professional club. We’re only interested in you if you are ready to dedicate yourself to a year of intense development in your game, contribute to the team and make sure you excel in the education arm of our programme.

We’re setting out with the goal of building towards not only being the best college academy in the country but be a production centre for players getting into (or back into) the professional game. You’re only for us if you’re serious about helping us achieve that whist developing yourself at the same time.

The football and academic programme is funded by the Education Funding Agency, so is free to all students who are year 12 or 13.
