💚 Today Ellie Chesterton from the YMCA came to visit Di at the Carers Centre to discuss activities for Young Carers 💚

💚 Our Former Carers Group met this morning and then went out for their Christmas Meal 🎄🎅🏻 The group will meet again in the New Year on Thursday 3rd January, if you are a former Carer and would like some support please feel free to come along 💚

💚 Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our Amazing Memories Group Christmas Party 🎄 which once again included music from Holly Reynolds 💚

🎄Carols being sung by the all Can Sing Group, the group is taking a break until after the Christmas holiday and will start again on Tuesday 15th January 2016 💚

💚 Yesterday our Young Carers Team were at St Luke’s in Silverdale raising Young Carer Awareness 💚

💚Carers, did you know?💚 If you spend 35 hours or more caring for someone who is in receipt of a qualifying disability benefit, are over 16 years of age, not in full time education, do not earn over £120 a week (after deductions) and are a UK resident, you are entitled to claim Carers Allowance. 💚Carers, did you know?💚 If the person you care for is being discharged from hospital, the discharge plan should look at what support they will need once they are discharged, this discharge plan should also look at the impact on your caring role. 💚What a fantastic evening we had at our Carols and Mince Pies evening, we had the fantastic choir come along from Seabridge Primary School to entertain our Carers 💚

💚Carers, did you know?💚 If you have a need for support you are entitled to a Carer’s assessment by the local authority for the person you care for. Our resident Children’s Entertainer, PJ the Showman visited the Young Carers on Monday night. Lots of interaction, laughs and amazement from both the Kids and the Young Carers staff. 💚🤡🧙🏻‍♂

💚 The Amazing Memories Group enjoyed a Christmas Quiz and some lovely cakes, they all received a mug with the group picture on for Christmas 💚
