I was expecting hassle collecting my daughter from Gatwick, I checked the website for pickup points and took the free option.

Drove down from Bedford into the North long stay car park (2 hours free)

Sent a text message to my daughter what bus to get from the terminal, she got off the free bus at the reception, walked across to the car and we drove out.....so simple!

The guy on the North Long Stay Car park was also helpful, cheerful and polite.

He checked the flight & gave information about the bus.

It all worked for me!!

All good except a bus driver saying I couldn't take my just purchased coffee on the bus.. but hey I'm allowed to take it onto the plane without an issue. If there are rules like this then put some signs up . Needless to say I offered it to him as I can't be done with this kind of rubbish at 6am which he declined and I just got on with the coffee. Hate jobsworths .

Not being funny but there needs to be more toilets where the shops u can tell that when even men have to que up and the further away the gates are the worse the toilets are

Very disappointed that we paid a £1000 for our holiday to check your website and decide to drive as it worked out to just under £60, we then picked our car you at 2 this morning to get to the barrier and be charged £165 � I spoke to the man on the intercom to be patronised and told oh well you have done what a most people do and not realised you needed to pre book, when I explained obviously I never released that like most people as he commented it is obviously not clear he then cut me short and said he has other people to deal with so pay up to get out and then complain, very frustrating as we had no choice due to a que of cars beeping us and other wise being stuck in high winds and gone 2 in the morning, your website needs to be clearer I had to use my money I had to live on as I never budgeted for the extra £100 and don't get paid for 2 weeks!

Staff at the airport in departures and arrivals greet you with grumpy faces. Not a single smile. They are also rude. Not a great start for holiday or ending. This is throughout the process after checking in and arriving. I know you have a job to do and people to organised. Not all written instructions are clear if you can even find them. Lost passengers asking for help are treated like they are stupid. Witnessed experiences ourselves and also on the receiving end. 10hrs of travelling and tired. We need smiles and helpfulness not rudeness. No, it wasn't our attitude we smiled and asked politely "sorry, but could you help us?". Carpark was also a mess with machines not working properly and rude parking attendants standing around machines like they are helping then rudely telling us they know nothing about the machines. Why be standing there then? Worst airport experience we've had. Please retrain staff in politeness and helpfulness and to smile.

Worst possible signage for arrivals road. You obviously want to channel all drivers through the short term car parks where they will be ripped off. I mistakenly drove into one such car park, simply to drive straight out again. I explained my mistake to the official at the end of the line, who opened the barrier as he could see I had simply driven in and straight out. I then did a circuit of the roads to try to get into the correct lane for arrivals, the signage is deliberately ambiguous and it is very easy to get into the wrong lane. Once in the wrong lane you have no option but to enter the car park. I entered what I thought was the arrivals lane but again, was stuck into a car park. I managed to enter this car park through an open barrier, therefore did not have a ticket to exit. When I tried to explain to the officious hag on the end of the line, I was told I had a passenger in the car with me! Wtf. I had been in the car park less than a minute, how the fuck was I supposed to have picked up a passenger. I said to check the cctv and open the dam barrier, after a lot of accusations from the hag, she opened the barrier. Gatwick North terminal you suck.

Why when you have 2 planes land you push everyone to the E gates when most of them aren’t working and people are struggling and there’s 2 security sat at the normal gates??

Thanks so much for the workout today with baby, bags and 4 year old in tow (on my own). Yet again, no prams for use at the gate. Had to walk (what seemed like 2 miles) carrying 13 kilo boy plus my luggage. Exhausting. Don’t know how you have the audacity to call yourselves family friendly. What a joke...

Terrible humiliating attitude on security checks! - re-packing the well packed liquids into their own smaller/narrower and poorly closing bags in a very irritating way, trying to take away from you as much as possible - the impression is that the main purpose is to annoy you - spoils your travel mood for hours! Never experienced such a thing in any other airport or terminal!

Terrible at passport control trying to leave gatwick, they dont let children out the quick scan yourself way when we scanned his boarding pass exiting and he looked at camera fine... i thought they would make things easier for families not harder ...expect lots of puddles from children waiting way too long in line �

Told by a member of male staff letting children through that area would be like letting a child drive!? Not quite...

No1 Lounge experience . No one to be seen clearing tables , up until now and tables all stacked with dirty plates extra . Over by food dirty plates , no cutlery . Over following nappy bin in loo’s . Food bad . Loads of people moaning . Not good enough - sorry to leave this , but we expected better .



Long wait for special assistance , gave up waiting.

Gatwick airport is hell on earth. All the money that has been spent there isn't to enhance the customer experience, it's to try and get as much money out of them as possible.

The walkway from security to the gates, where you are forced to pass as many retail outlets as possible is disgusting.

Flying is no longer a pleasure. It's an endurance test. We try to avoid doing it if at all possible.

Currently stuck on a plane as we cannot disembark due to a broken piece of equipment... loving spending my Friday night on the tarmac because you are not capable of finding a plan B!!!

Awful service at Gatwick north after returning from a night flight. No child push chairs from the plane until passport control, then when we do get one we can’t take it past bag collection!! Thanks for making my 2 year old walk all that way! When we landed we got stuck on a plane with no air con for 45 mins because the airport couldn’t get the ramp to the plane so we had to pay extra parking costs for the taxi due to the wait you caused, now trying to get out the carpet with only one barrier working and no parking pay machines working other than at the exit!! Normal
