It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have had to say goodbye to our beautiful Moose this morning. Moose was our magnificent Belgian Trekpaard a truly beautiful girl. Sadly we had known that this day would come she had been losing some of her weight and her leg condition wasn’t getting any easier for her. So today she went over rainbow bridge finding old friends and making new ones, and where health issues are no longer. Your going to be sorely missed my beautiful girl. Love you always. Xx

Just wanted to say a massive thank and well done to volunteers Jim and his family who raised £268 on the tombola and £83 on the shop goods at the Sleaford Christmas market last Sunday. They said they met some lovely folk and thank everyone for their support. The Northcote Stall will be out for the last trip this year this coming Sunday ( 9th) at the Horncastle Christmas Market. With volunteers Jim, Zoe, and Claire. So please go along and say hello. 🙂

A very Big thank you to volunteers Jim and Zoe for doing the Northcote stall at Boston Christmas market today and tonight. It’s been a very long day for them both. They looked like they sold out of the tombola stock, and raised £170 on the tombola and £45 on the gift stall. Well done guys. And don’t forget Jim and his family will be doing it all again this coming Sunday (2nd) at the Sleaford Christmas market.

Volunteers Jim, Di And Taz, will be attending Sleaford Christmas market on Sunday 2nd Dec with the Northcote stall. So for anybody going please go and take a look on the stall and say Hi, they will have some lovely cards and gifts as well as tombola. And Don’t forget Jim and Zoe will be on our stall tomorrow (29th) at the Boston Christmas market, you’ll find them in the Wide Bargate area.

Volunteers Jim and Zoe, ( and me at some point!) will be manning the Northcote stall at the Boston Christmas market this coming Thursday (29th) from 12pm - 8.30pm there will be a tombola and a selection of Christmas gifts, and cards featuring all of our own animals. So please come down and say hello and browse the stall. If you can’t make it then please take a look at the various gifts on our website, the gift shop is also open at the centre every sat morning 9.30 - 12 pm or by special request.

Can you please help support our vital repairs and maintenance fund? Now the weather is turning more to rain, wind and even snow, we need to make sure our stables and aviaries are safe, warm and leak free.

Wonderful place staffed by volunteers who are happy, friendly and obviously enjoy their job. Beautiful, loved horses of all types as well as other animals which are all doted in. Events are lots of fun, well organised and not too large. Fun for one and all and a very good cause. Highly recommend 😀

What a gem of a find! Fab time had by us all, the kids (and me, big kid) loved the hands on time grooming. Run by wonderful folks helpful, informative and most of all caring.

Well what an amazing experiance we have had today which was least expected! We thought we would be in and out, but the 1 to 1 attention of the volunteers to the visitors was fab! Been able to brush all the horses down and get so close was amazing! Then having the chance to hold the barn owl also! Didn't really hear about this place much...definitely need to get thid page shared more it's a fab place all for free!

We visited today, and had a brilliant time, the lady that gave us a talk about the animals was very knowledgeable, friendly and you could really tell she loved the animals. We was allows to groom the horses and was then given a show of what they do, in which you could see the horse loved it.

We love visiting the heavy horse centre. Everyone is so welcoming and keen to teach you all about the different horses. Personal favourites have to be Dante, Wendy, Boson and Bonnie. Thank you for making my little girl so happy after visiting you most weeks �

We had a beautiful day with the horses, I am a reiki practitioner and placed my hands on one of your horses and gave him reiki, he closed his eyes and loved it! Loved helping him relax..

We came on Sunday to the medieval show and had a great time once again, helping you to raise much needed funds by simply turning up and paying on the gate, spending money at the stalls and purchasing food/drink. All the displays were enjoyable. It was clear to everyone present how devoted you and the volunteers are, and how much you deserve the support of us, and others, in the future. We will be ordering gifts from the website. Can't wait to return at some point next year, for a third day with you all. Hope you can continue your excellent work, you are wonderful people.

Really good day out for all family highly recommend it or if want come volunteer there all good bunch get long with they work hard but have laugh while doing it. if love animals its the place to be �

I can thoroughly recommend the Banquet Night, I went last year with my other half and it was a great night. Great food, entertainment and atmosphere. A fun night and horses too. What's not to like?

Great place to spend time with horses. Open on Wednesday and Thursday and on special even days. Passionate staff and great facilities.

Fantastic day out all the kids loved it, and even my daughter who wouldn't touch a horse to start with even walked one in to stable by end of the day � highly recommended to any one �

Enjoyed our day seeing the heavy horses. It was lovely day out. Shame about the weather but at least it didn't rain. The staff were helpful and full of knowledge. And then the animals - what can I say, they all behaved well. No standing on toes etc and I'm sure they could smell the polos in my pocket.



Anyone wanting to do something out of the ordinary go to the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre. Groom the horses get up close to these beautiful horses.



All the staff are friendly and they give their time for free. It's free for everyone and if give a donation the money will go towards the horses welfare, food and repairs to the site.



We will go again. Thankyou to everyone for a great day out.

Brilliant time had by the kids all the volunteers are so brilliant helping the kids with grooming and teaching them about the horses at the centre well worth a visit.

Amazing morning at heavy horses. Loved brushing the horses, so therapeutic. The horses have such character, the staff are so friendly and informative. Will be coming again and spreading the word.

Absolutely loved our time at Northcote Heavy Horse Centre. Our daughter Georgia adopted Merlin, the Miniature Shetland Pony.



She groomed him, and then was lucky enough to lead him back to his paddock.



Terena and the other volunteers make you feel very welcome and right at home.



The Centre relies on donations to keep it running, so anything that you donate, please do, it's a very worthy cause!!
