This week we welcome back members of the Old Salfodian's Golf Association. Originating from Salford Grammar School, The Association aims to bring and keep old school friends together. Nice to see you all again.

On Tuesday NGC looks forward to a society visit from The Golf Guide. The Golf Guide provide a series of complimentary products and services aimed at pro-actively advertising golf clubs, their products, services and offers. We hope you all enjoy your day.

We are proud to host A Northern Counties Seniors Match at NGC on Monday 20th August. Cheshire Seniors v Durham Seniors. Two of our members, Dave Nelson and Tim Christie, feature in the Cheshire squad.

No PGA on TV! What do we think of this?

It was all there for a perfect day...the sunshine, the greens in superb conditions,the complimentary bottles of beer and water, the mouth-watering pies, the ripe red apples and bananas. Mark Radford made it a Captain's Day to to remember and the night wasn't bad either with a fun-filled dinner attended by 123 members.

On Monday 13 August NGC are proud to host The 1836 Tour. This is a Professional Golf Tour Running 18 And 36 Hole Events On The Best Courses Throughout The NorthWest of England.

On Tuesday NGC welcomes 80 players on the North West Seniors Ameteur Tour. The Tour consists of a series of Mens Seniors Open Events around the North West. The aim of the Tour is to bring together all the Gentlemen Senior golfers (age 55 ) around the North West, build friendships, play some lovely courses, enjoy yourselves, keep fit, and maybe pick up a prize or two along the way. NGC Greens 'Amongst the best in the Northwest' - Official A recent report by The Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) had this to say - 'The performance data for the greens showed that there was a year on year improvement and that they are of tournament standard'. A verbal comment was also made suggesting that the greens were “amongst the best in the Northwest”. Great work by our Greens Staff!👍

The course was recovering nicely today after receiving a little overnight rain. Lovely weather for the member's Texas Scramble whilst the Greens Staff got on with a little ironing.

Junior Summer Camps During the summer holidays we are running 3 summer camps. The dates are as follows;
Tuesday 14th August 9 am drop off - 9.30am - 12.30pm
... Tuesday 21st August 9 am drop off - 9.30am - 12.30pm
Tuesday 28th August 9 am drop off - 9.30am - 12.30pm
Lessons will include all aspects of the game including driving, irons, short game and putting. All with lots of fun competitions!

we held the funeral reception following the death of my father at Northenden Golf Club, John Dwyer took care of everything, The function room was perfect, lovely views over the course on a lovely autumn day. The 3 dishes we chose from the extensive selection were delicious and the service impeccable. John even drove back home to bring in his laptop so that we could show photos off a usb stick, really above and beyond the call of duty. Nothing was too much trouble and it was great value too. very well done and thank you to everyone who took care of us.

Had a great society day. Top course. Not easy. A good test. We were all made very welcome

Great venue for my evening event. The dining space was cosy and sat my 100 guests comfortably. The food, the Lamb Shank was succulent. The service was polite and professional. Will definitely book again.

Great location and fantastic staff, we would definitely recommend holding any sort of corporate event here. John bent over backwards to provide all of our needs. We will be back soon.
