Finished the decorating and the carpet was fitted today by Lee Cornish. Just have to put up the new blind and reassemble the beds.

“The Northshorebude hostel is a 9 min walk from the centre perfect for not having to worry about parking spaces especially in peak season the owners are lovely and friendly and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable I even got a free upgrade from the room I was in so I would be warmer (I went in January) Bude is beautiful and despite the sea being a little cold st...ill plenty of surf. Loads of nice places to go for walks and places to eat and fun nights out!”

Now the new windows are in it’s time to decorate the rooms on this side of the house. A word to the wise “people will pick off the raised patterns on wallpaper then when you remove it enough of the wood-chip paper comes with it you will have to get back to bare plaster. Next time I’m putting in to just repaint it all. This is two days of stripping and we are still not ready to fill the holes before the new paper goes up.

We first stayed at Northshore in 2003 because it was December and too cold to camp.

Staying up until the early hours laughing and joking with Sean (Janine was away that weekend) and we have never looked back.

Nearly 14 years later and now among some of our closest friends, we have been back time and time again.

Clean, comfortable and a home from home, Northshore is one of the most welcoming places I have ever been, which is down to Sean and Janine's hospitality.

I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The best hostel I've ever stayed at. Very clean and comfortable with a very pleasant and unique atmosphere.

Relaxed man....everything you'd expect from a bunkhouse run by people who enjoy the sea and the surf. Very friendly, clean and beautiful in it's simplicity. Free wifi, great showers / kitchen shared lounge etc....thoroughly recommend!

Lovely hostel, clean, quiet, friendly, and close to the sea.

I first stayed at North Shore during the opening July 03 and have gone back time and time again.

Janine & Sean ( world travellers themselves) know just what to offer; a clean, comfortable, colourful place for a fair price. You'll check in as a stranger and leave as a friend.

Hands down the nicest backpackers place I have ever stayed. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Use of lovely lounge and well equipped kitchen. Owners are wonderful! So friendly! I will most definitely visit beautiful Bude again and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Thank you Northshore.

First told about this place back in 2010; now visit at least twice a year. Perfect venue for parties and we had a joint hen and stag do there last year. Couldn't have been better looked after by Janine and Sean. Pack your surfboard or walking Boots; you could even do the Tamar Lakes Parkrun!

Epic place to stay. Hosts are friendly. Great Location. Cosy sitting room with Sky TV. Good kitchen facilities, just make sure you do the washing up!

Best most relaxed place to stay by the sea. A real home from home with lovely clean and comfortable rooms, great spaces to relax. You spend time in gd company and make new friends here and always want to go back!
