Northumbria Fire Safety Training provides a range of fire safety services, Including Fire Training, Risk Assessments, Fire Extinguishers and PAT Testing

Northumbria Fire Safety Training is a newly established business based in Alnwick offering a comprehensive range of fire safety solutions to small and medium sized businesses within Northumberland and the North East. Our aim is to provide local employers a friendly, approachable and knowledgeable service in order to fulfil their duties under the regulatory reform fire safety order 2005 and to safeguard both their employees and business.

Northumbria Fire Safety Trainers have over 30 years operational fire service experience and several years working within NHS and Community Fire Safety environments carrying out Risk Assessments and delivering Fire Safety Training Courses.

Our Staff have a vast range of qualifications, which include being members of the Institution of Fire Engineers holding Graduate and Membership qualifications.

NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety and IOSH Health and Safety qualifications are held in addition to British Association of Fire Exinguisher (BAFE) Technician and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) certificates.

The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 (RRFSO 2005) requires employers to take such general fire precautions as will ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety of any of his employees and any other persons with access to or use of their premises i. e. visitors /contractors.

In simple terms this means employers should:

•Carry out a suitable and sufficient Risk Assessment
• Inform their employers of findings of the risk assessment
•Carry out necessary fire precautions to comply with the RRFSO and to minimise risk to acceptable level
•Provide their employers with adequate safety training
