Nortier Shallow

On Thursday (which also happened to be my birthday!) we had the pleasure of attending ‘A Marquee in Winter’ - an event put on by @missbushbridal to promote, explore and educate on the theme of marquee weddings, winter weddings and the combination of the two. We were asked to create a dress which embodied the Bush brand - wearable clean line silhouettes with a fashion forward mindset and a bit of a punk attitude, in their signature brand yellow. As a fan of Quant, Westwood and... McQueen, Emma suggested Tartan as it also nodded back to the winter theme. This was the finished result modelled beautifully by the amazing @chloekeenan_uk, hair by @sharonrobertshair, make-up by and captured by the amazing @thespringles Hope you like! I remember so clearly hearing the news about Alexander McQueen’s death, he was always such an icon to me. I was working in a telesales job I absolutely hated and was no good at, it was a sharp and emphatic reminder of how short life is and that you have to take risks to grow. That evening I looked up fashion courses and sent in an application and so began a few months of madly trying to put a portfolio together as I had no formal art based qualifications. We are happy to arrange dry cleaning and boxing for you through the boutique, all you do is drop your dress to us, select the type of cleaning/boxing you would like and we do the rest (prices start at £175)
Some brides have opted to have their dress cut up and made into a christening gown, or even some scatter cushions!

These guys are just wow! I had a really complex dress that needed alterations. Lots of beading and bling from Allure. The fit and finish was perfection. I also had a second dress that they also altered along with five bridesmaid dresses. I am the worlds worst at wanting things just so and I 100 percent trust them. I recommended a friend who dress looked amazing too and another friend used them also before me. They make you feel so relaxed and special and just lovely people to deal with. They are very experienced and have a keen eye to help you create your vision. The shop is very fresh and current with great lighting. The bridesmaids dresses are beautiful I love rose gold and pink and they have a large selection. They also have a few wedding dresses they have made themselves, one very royal princess dress which I love. I wish you guys all the success you deserve can’t rate you enough. I’m a self confused bridezilla and high maintenance and if you can get it right for me, then you can get it right for anyone. ��10/10

From the very first time I met Ben when trying on wedding dresses I knew I was in safe hands. His knowledge of dresses and understanding as to what you want is second to none. Ben and Adrian carried out all the alterations to my wedding dress, and one of my bridesmaids dresses. Ben even designed and made a bolero to match in with my dress, it was and is so good that even my groom didn't know it was a separate item to my dress until one of me bridesmaids removed it for me. To top the excellent service and beautifully made bolero, Ben even hand delivered the dress to my house on the day of Phil's and my wedding then proceeded to dress not only myself but my bridesmaids too, they had the multiway dresses which Ben was able to show off to their true potential. If you're thinking of having something made or just alterations to dresses you have, then I can honestly say that Ben and Adrian are the ones to talk too. Their customer service and expertise are beyond compare. Thank you both so much for everything and particularly to Ben who was with me for the whole of my wedding dress journey from the start to the very end.

I would not waste my time going anywhere else, these guys are majic.

They made it fun, made her feel special and could not have been more lovely or professional. The boutique is tucked a little out of the way but still close to town and feels just right for such a precious occassion. I thoroughly recommend that anyone in need of a wedding, bridesmaid or prom frock get in touch with them.

Adrien and Ben are Amazing!! They did an incredible job with my wedding dress, changing it from one I really didn't feel comfortable in when it arrived to the dress of my dreams, it was absolutely perfect and I loved wearing it!!
