Last night our trick dawg workshop was amazing! Tricks are so much more than just showing off, they are about spending time with your dog, learning together and having fun. 💞
Because tricks aren't important: like teaching recall or leave for instance, there is NO pressure for the human or canine learner. This is why I often see dogs excel 🐾🐾
5 of the 6 dogs all worked off lead at points during the workshop, how cool is that? The dogs were choosing to stay and engage with the...ir family! Imagine if all dogs chose to stay with their human family regardless of the distractions? Walks in the park would definitely be more enjoyable 😊
Here is a little video clip of Rachel and Brig, they leant this last night! But before you sigh and think, it's a collie or she's a trainer let me tell you some things about them:
- Brig was a rescue pup - Rachel is not a trainer but is definitely an enthusiast - Brig had guarding issues and would not release anything from her mouth up until recently - Rachel openly admits that raising Brig (shes 1years old now) has been really challenging)
Using reward based based, fun methods, and harnessing a positive relationship is key to a happy dog and an amazing relationship. 💞

Gorgeous morning spent in the sunshine assessing this super class of pups 🐾
No surprise they all passed! Commitment, practice and spending a lot of time building a beautiful bond is key and they didn't let me down.
I couldn't be prouder of this class, they went from pulling their hair out and feeling overwhelmed to passing the Kennel Club puppy foundation award in just 8 weeks.

The aim of this workshop is to open training and mental stimulation for everyone and help those people that are not able to attend a training class every week.
The workshops build upon your relationship with your dog, increases fun and teaches you how to wow your friends and family as well as keep your dog mentally active and increase focus!
1.5 hours £25 which includes a free goody bag (new customers only)
The workshop includes a drink and cake in the middle where you will also have the opportunity to ask us any questions you may have about your dog and training.

To say we are excited about hosting Jane Ardern's debut course on impulse control is an under statement!
The uniqueness of this course is that you get the opportunity to go off and practice and then come back with questions and get answers. Then you are taught the next level and the next level again. Personally I cannot wait to get started on this.

Our two young handlers with Luna and Clifford are so talented they both recorded their Rookie level 🎉

This workshop is perfect for beginners
Your dog has an amazing nose! Did you know that their sense of smell dominates their brain? Your dog uses their sense of smell to help them identify with the world around them in the same way that we use our sight!
On average a human has 5 million scent receptors compared to 225 million for a German Shepherd – how cool is that?!
... Scentwork is mentally stimulating and a natural behaviour for your dog to enjoy. It helps with nervous or shy dogs or those that are overly excitable!
