Support for Britons to fly home βοΈ
The government has today announced plans to work with British Airways, Virgin, Jet2, Titan and Easyjet to repatriate Britons who are stranded around the world.
Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab says those in countries where commercial options are still available should not wait, but book tickets home as soon as possible.
... "Where commercial flights are no longer running the government will provide support for special charter flights to help British nationals back home," he says.
Advice is currently to contact your airline or the local Embassy for details.
More details to follow.

Booking with an experienced travel agent is FREE and comes with the peace of mind that you will always be able to talk with someone in your hour of need.
Please please book with a travel agent, it doesnβt have to be my company. Protect yourself and protect your money.
Great advice for anyone with a holiday booked that's been or likely to be affected by Covid-19.
I'm urging everyone to re-book for a later date rather than cancel altogether... This article explains why this is critical far better than I can.

We understand the coronavirus has been very sudden and very concerning for all of us, and therefore you may have some questions about your upcoming travel plans.
Check out the video below to hear from our co-founder, Steve Witt, about what the latest FCO advice means in regards to the recent coronavirus outbreak. We also answer your top 6 key questions about what this means for your holiday plans.
To all my facebook friends near and far, I have one request during this coronavirus crisis (also to help keep my sanity in these uncertain times) - please keep booking holidays, please rebook your cancelled holidays and please use a travel agent! Why?
1. Holidays are on sale up to October 2021 (and beyond in some cases) and under the current circumstances are cheaper than normal AND this is providing a demand that will keep people in business.
2. If your trip is cancelled, re...book it for another date. This will keep airlines and tour operators in business so they are not refunding people and have a demand.
3. Use a travel agent as they can give you the right advice and help you in circumstances like this. Also, the demand will keep travel agents in a job. Did you know people who booked online canβt get in touch with the people they booked with and are out of money and in limbo? Book local and you have someone to speak to face to face.
4. Save jobs abroad. If you cancel and donβt rebook or if thereβs no demand for holidays. Hotels, excursion companies, ground handlers and bus companies abroad will cease to trade. In some countries tourism is the only source of income. So this will cause huge effects in those countries.
I know things are uncertain, but this virus will peak and slow down. Might take 3 weeks, might take longer but people still need holidays, so if you donβt support the travel industry now there might be a chance that the way you holiday changes forever.
So please BOOK NOW, REBOOK NOW AND BOOK LOCALLY.
