Match report 15/6/19
Farndon 2nd v Nottinghamshire Deaf Both captains agreed on 32 overs per side due to weather. Notts Deaf won the toss and elected to bowl first... Farndon 172 for 2 off 32 overs Notts Deaf 104 for 3 off 20.1 overs
Match abandoned due to rain Farndon 10 points Notts Deaf 8 points
Weather:рҹҢӨрҹҢҰрҹҢ§ Wicket: slow and low bounce Umpire Les Townend
Notts Deaf won the toss and elected to bowl first on a slow wicket but things didn't turn out how we wanted with Farndon 2nd batting well throughout their 32 overs scoring 172 for 2 off their allocated overs. Their opening batsman Josh Feehily scoring 78 not out. He was dropped in the first over.рҹҷҲ Our fielding and bowling was very poor today with Daryl Slater the only stand out bowler with figures of 4-0-8-1. Liam Savage took an outstanding running catch which none of us could believe.рҹ‘ҸрҹҸј We dropped 5 catches with Richard Wolfe having an of day with 3 dropped catches, a missed stumping and a run out after a good throw from Dan Copping which he took well but completely missing the stumps.рҹҷҲрҹҷ„рҹҳЎрҹӨЈрҹӨҰвҖҚвҷӮпёҸрҹӨ·в ҖҚвҷӮпёҸ Even Jan 'safe hands' Cresswell dropped a sitter so it just wasn't our day in the field.
Notts Deaf then went out to bat with Oliver Wilcox and Ravi Hundal putting on an excellent 77 for the first wicket with Oliver scoring 27 and Ravi Hundal batting well for his 40 before being run out by his best mate Dan Copping.рҹӨ·вҖҚвҷӮпёҸрҹӨЈрҹӨҰвҖҚвҷӮпёҸрҹҳ ҳ We'd lost 3 quick wickets which is the norm with Notts Deaf with Jan Cresswell getting a duckрҹҰҶ which I suppose just sums up his day. Dan Copping 17 not out and Skipper Daryl Slater 9 not out then slowly got us back into the game until the rain came with the game evenly poised with Notts Deaf 104 for 3 off 20.1 overs. It was to be the last action as both captains agreed to a draw with the weather being the winner. As it stands Notts Deaf are still top of Division K as our closest rivals had their games cancelled due to the weather.
MOM - goes to Ravi Hundal for his entertaining 40 runs with the bat and his little tantrum when being run out.рҹҳӮрҹҳӮ
Our next match is on Tuesday 18th June at home versus Kimberley 3rd in the 20/20 cup which was cancelled from last week.

See you then.

Nottinghamshire Deaf v Belvoir 3rd

... Notts Deaf - 6 points Belvoir 3rd - 6 points
Disappointing to have this game cancelled as we're on a good run with some players coming into form with bat and ball.
The cancellation still leaves Notts Deaf on top spot after 6 games with 12 games to play in Division K.
Our next game is on Tuesday 11th June, 6.15pm start at home to Kimberley 3rd in the 20/20 Raleigh Cup competition. Also we've an important game on Saturday 15th June AWAY to Farndon 2nd, 1pm start.
Please let the captain know of your availability to play both games asap.
See you soon.

Match report 1/6/19
Lowdham 2nd v Notts Deaf 40 overs per side agreed by captains Notts Deaf Won the toss and elected to field first
... Lowdham 2nd 180 for 9 off 40 overs Notts Deaf 181 for 9 off 39.1 overs
Notts Deaf win by one wicket.
Notts Deaf 19 points Lowdham 2nd 7 points
Weather:рҹҢӨ Wicket: Green top Umpire: Les Townend
It was top versus bottom in yet another thrilling game in which it went to the last over and Notts Deaf winning the game by one wicket.
There were 3 changes to the team with Daryl Slater (captain), Dan Copping and Thomas Platt all returning which strengthened our batting.
Lowdham 2nd were put into bat and put on a good batting performance to score 180 from their allocated overs. The outstanding batsman for Lowdham was Danny O'Donnel who batted well for his 82 runs. At one stage it looked like a target over 200 was on the cards until some tight bowling from Andy Rowe 8-0-28-4 and Dan Copping 6-1-24-2 put the brakes on to limit them to under 200. Jordan Slater is still stuck on 98 wickets for Notts Deaf in the SNVL but I'm sure will achieve it sometime this season.рҹҳӮ However he did have the opportunity to do it today but 2 dropped catches of his bowling ruined that.рҹӨҰвҖҚвҷӮпёҸрҹҷ„рҹҳӮрҹӨ·вҖҚвҷӮпёҸ
