(Now Closed Until 2018) The Muckleburgh Military Collection
Reviews
Stunning collection of wartime paraphernalia as well as an impressive collection of artillery pieces/armored cars/tanks and even a Harrier! Huge array of models on display which are housed in its own section of the museum. Very worth while visiting.
Great range of exhibits with informative notes. Great quiz to do as you go through the museum, little ones may need some help but the badge at the end is worth it!. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Great little place, loads of interesting militaria. From Harrier jump jets to tanks. The place has a significant history too which I knew nothing about. Nice little souvenir shop Cafe and can have rides in military vehicles too. Good little Cafe on site as well. Well worth a visit. I enjoyed it at Muckleburgh much more than I thought I would.
great tank demo. the place is bigger then I thought. really relaxing atmosphere. good cafe. play equipment small but nice picnic areas with sea views
Beautifully laid out exhibition with a route through so you do not miss anything. All exhibits have a good description card.
Very interesting and enjoyable experience. Second visit, last time was about 12 years ago and a lot has changed. Would have loved to have been able to see inside the tanks. Surely it could be possible on quiet days to allow visitors to sit inside a tank, considering what they are designed for I wouldn't think too much damge could be done. How about putting dummies into their relevant positions inside the tanks and having steps so visitors could see what conditions inside were like would be an idea. Overall a good couple of hours spent.
We drove past on our way home and went in. What an amazing place Muckleburgh military museum is. This place is definitely worth visiting. The history behind it and the exhibits are outstanding.
Great collection of items to look at. Very little hands on exhibits for kids to explore. Tank display okay if you like watching a tank drive round in circles. Cake good though.
