Swimming pool understaffed. Large part of the pool often used by unsupervised children as a splash pool as the children's pool is often closed. Very limited space to swim when children's lessons are on. Some instructors don't turn up to classes. Customer service poor.

I would give it less than one if it was an option. Staff are hugely rude. I had to leave my driving licence behind the desk to borrow a pad lock. They lost my ID without any apology or compensation. Pool is often closed without explanation. Gym is dirty in area's. Prices are ludicrous for what you get. Would not recommend to anyone at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

A decent gym with lots of equipment, variety of classes, wet facilities (steam room, sauna, pool, jacuzzi). Only down side for me is the restaurant closes at about 6.30 so never get the opportunity to use it.

Seriously, this gym is not worth halve of what they charge. Staff have definite customer service issues. The fact they can't really reply or do anything to all the comments says it all.

Clean facilities but some of the reception staff were rude and unhelpful. It's also far too expensive for what is offered and would not recommend mainly due to the poor customer service.

Was visiting from the US for the week, wanted to workout while away from home. Used a free 1 day pass to at least get one day of working out in. It'd be nice if they allowed you to do a daily or weekly pass. But alas they don't. Place seemed to have a lot of variety of equipment and big studio rooms for stuff like yoga etc.

Fantastic gym, plenty of kit and space. The pool could have been bigger and the pricing is a bit high.

I've used this gym as Holmes Place, Virgin and now Nuffield Health and have always enjoyed the facilities and equipment. I've always found the staff friendly, but below is my experience of Nuffield Health's customer service when requested a receipt for my membership.

I have requested a proof of purchase (receipt) for my membership from Nuffield Health, Didsbury on ELEVEN separate occasions as detailed below and am still yet to be provided with my request.

REQUEST 1: 2/11/16 Requested a receipt from a member of reception staff and was advised to email hollie.appleby

REQUEST 2: 2/11/16 Requested a receipt by email from hollie.appleby but I received no response

REQUEST 3: 3/11/16 Requested a receipt by phone and was advised by reception staff that they would contact Hollie who would respond to my request but I received no response

REQUEST 4: 4/11/16 Requested a receipt from a member of staff at reception who advised me that they would contact Hollie who would respond to my request but I received no response

REQUEST 5: 4/11/16 Requested a receipt by email from hollie.appleby but I received no response

REQUEST 6: 6/11/16 Requested a receipt by phone and was advised by reception staff that they would contact Hollie who would respond to my request but I received no response

REQUEST 7: 10/11/16 Requested a receipt from a member of staff at reception who advised me that they would contact Hollie who would respond to my request but I received no response

REQUEST 8: 11/11/16 Requested a receipt from a member of staff at reception who advised me that they have emailed Hollie. Appleby

REQUEST 9: 11/11/16 Requested a receipt from the Twitter and Facebook account for Nuffield health who advised me that Hollie was looking in to it.
REQUEST 10: 12/11/16 Requested to speak with Hollie at reception who advised me that they were unable to produce the receipt at the club, but she would speak head office on Monday.
REQUEST 11: Requested my requirements by email from hollie.appleby and simon.tillot but Hollie’s email bounced back.

It's very frustrating and disappointing that I have now requested a receipt for my membership on 11 separate occasions and the only response I've had was through Twitter from head office with no resolution. I have still not received an apology or a courtesy call/email from the general manger, Simon. The story continues…

Gym has average equipment in comparison with others, you wouldn't find anything out of the extra ordinary here that you wouldn't find in a £12 per month pay as you go gym.
I used to be a member with Virgin for many years, and had a great experience, customer service and after care was fantastic. Ever since Nuffield took over the management of the health club, everything has took a steep dive. Nothing works, all they have done is painted the walls a puke green colour.
As far as the staff go, specially front of house, they are very very rude and unhelpful.
Just to give you an idea, its like they took a bus to East London and "everyone on board, we are going to work in Didsbury" or perhaps Nuffield has a contract with some sort Juvenile Center/ rehabilitation centre, unfortunately I have been made to pay £60 a month to put up with it . They are the sort of people who constantly have a chip on their shoulder and feel like that society owns them something. The "man dem tings" "gall them suga" or "ill shank ya blood" kind of people. They are not at all interested in helping you, god forbid should you need it. They will kiss their teeth (if you are not familiar with this, you tube it) and shake their head at you.

Just to some this up, its run by Chavs and this gym would be perfect in Mosside or Longsight. Definitely not in Didsbury.
