That moment when you realise that the children have been busily burying the body of a butterfly and creating it a beautiful memorial in the forest. #caringchildren #independentthinking #beautifulsouls #foretschoolisthebest
I just love this photo so much ❤️

Teddy Bears Picnic 🧺
The tots group had a fabulous final forest session yesterday. They each brought along their teddies to join them for a feast on the forest floor. We then went on a bear hunt as our teddies had hidden throughout forest. We looked high and low and found our teddies in the strangest of places.....I think the bears had as much fun as the children!
Our phone lines are down. Is anyone else affected?
Sports day this afternoon from 1:30. It is going to be lots of fun.....don’t forget your trainers mums and dads!!
The very best day at Stockeld Park.
The children were fantastically behaved and the staff loved every minute we got to share with them. We are so fortunate to have the most kind, polite and well mannered children who appreciate every opportunity they’re given.
A huge thank you to everyone who made today happen 🧡💙🧡
KS2 SATS RESULTS DAY - we are bursting with pride ❤️
The children in the Forest class had so much fun on transition day, spending time as a new class. In preparation for September, we looked at our topic 'heroes and heroines'. The children loved turning into a super hero with special super powers and completing an obstacle course. We even finished the morning with a three legged race!
Who is more competitive? Staff or Children 😂
Today we practised for our upcoming sports day. I think you can all see that we had plenty of fun, with lots of laughter and smiles!
Ever child was so supportive of one another and it was amazing to see each age group enjoying sport!
Remember that sports day is Thursday 11th July at 1.30pm on the village green. We hope to see you all there.
... PS- bring your trainers... you may need them 🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♀️

We’re going on a BUG hunt 🐛 🐜 🕷.....
The village green provided the perfect location to explore the wonderful world of bugs. We found that the meadow habitat provided lots of homes and food for different creatures which live around us.
We were surprised at the number of different varieties which we located and we are looking forward to conducting further research, creating fact files and trying different mediums to create art work depicting our finds.
... Most importantly we discovered that bugs aren’t scary. By the end of our hunt we had lots crawling on us which gave us the opportunity to study them more closely! We loved some of the spikes and intricate patterns we could see when we magnified our pictures.
If you know the names of any our our minibeast friends, please let us know.

Feast Day
Not only was there a fabulous atmosphere throughout the day with maypole dancing, live music, great food, fabulous stalls and a raffle prize of a trip to Barbados...but the children went all out once again to produce the most amazing costumes, from a poignant message about global warming and plastic recycling, to a dinosaur and the wonderful racehorse Alice Hawthorn.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who organised the day, helped on the day and who attended and support...ed the village and school.
I think everyone would agree that is was an amazing day!
