Could your child be the next Jess Ennis, KJT or Tim Duckworth? One way to find out is at the special Warwickshire country competition for the U11 age group which will be held at Pingles stadium - Girls on Saturday 11th May and Boys on Sunday 12th May
We’re encouraging Nuneaton Harriers U11 athletes to enter the county Quadkids competition in which they do four events: Long Jump, Howler Throw, 75m sprint and 600m run. The athletes’ performances are turned into points which are... then added up to give a total per athlete. The top three boys and girls will each get a medal. All competitors will get a certificate.
Eligibility - U11 athletes must be aged 9 or 10 at midnight on 31st August 2019. Warwickshire county qualification is either by birth in the county or by 9 months continuous residence prior to competition.
How to enter; Online entry using this link https://events.englandathletics.org/event /search
- scroll down to find the Warwickshire quadkids tab then click the Enter Online button to enter this competition. A parent or guardian should create an account for themselves and then enter the young athlete's details on the event entry screen.
The entry fee is £6.00 per athlete (for all 4 events) – the club will refund this entry fee to you if your child is a club member and competes in the county champs - so it actually costs you nothing!
IMPORTANT - Note that the closing date is Sunday 21st April 2019

Midland and Birmingham league - both races on Saturday at Burton Dassett Hills country park. Reckon on it taking about an hour to get there and car share is advised as parking space may be limited. I reckon women need to set off from Nuneaton no later than 11:30, men by 12:30 at the latest. Follow directions on the details circulated by e-mail.

The committee would like to bring you all up to speed with our plans to take the Harriers to the next level of competition. You may have noticed that over the weekend, we have dug out and laid cable ducting around the track. This is so we can install our own Photo finish. Yes thats right, the Nuneaton Harriers are purchasing some very expensive photo finish hardware to allow us to offer this as a service to all the clubs and schools that use our ground. We are also planning to put on our own opens next year, with the potential to be as early as March 30th. So we apologise for the shortterm mud but hope you will share in the exciting times ahead.
