Nurseries Caravan Park Description
Askham Lane Nurseries is an ideal venue for exploring the surrounding area, handy park and ride areas a mile away to York where the centre of the historic city is just about 3 miles away, visits to the Yorkshire dales, moors and coastline about an hour away. Alternatively, you can wander down to the pretty local village of Askham Bryan and visit the Nags Head Inn. There are two or three designated walks that begin from there or just spend a relaxing day on the site.

We were part of a very large group of x20 Swift Basecamps this past weekend (11/5/18)- Nicola was very helpful and very friendly. Campsite and facilities clean and tidy too (and dog friendly) - would recommend and would go again - thank you Nicola
This is a family run business. We are always greeted with a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The park is very well maintained and very clean n tidy at all times. It offers excellent toilet and shower facilities and has a little shop for those small emergency buys. Ideal for travelling into York by car or park n ride. I would recommend this park to anyone for a long or short stay.
Stopped at the sister one black bull loved it, but this one is well, my opinion far better the place is lovely the staff the people living on site, I'd recommend anyone who has kids... so much for kids to do... definitely be back.. Very happy camper ÔøΩÔøΩ
Stayed here last weekend with our caravan and 20+ others for a owners rally.
Nicola gave us a friendly welcome and showed us to our pitch.
This is a lovely relaxed site with easy access to York (park and ride is close by if you don’t want to drive into the city).
The shower block was clean with plenty of free hot water.
Will definitely come back for another visit.
Lovely clean site. Welcoming and helpful staff. Facilities first rate. Definately recommend this site and will be back for trips to York.
Just come back from an awesome two days break camping. Lovely people, lovely campsite with lovely facilities. Would recommend this place for sure.
There's was a minor problem with the water supply while we were here but the owners were quick to sort the problem and while they were working out what to do about solving the problem, they gave each family a big bottle of water just in case.
We couldn't start the car when we came to leave and the young woman helped us start up.the car. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be back for sure. üíú
Have just returned from a lovely weekend with the Basecamp group. The site was so well kept with fantastic, clean facilities. The pitches were large and on site play Park was a hit. So close to York centre but so tranquil - this site is going to be a firm favourite of ours!
Had another lovely two day stay ...... we stayed last year in our caravan, just me and my husband. Had such a lovely warm welcome. Shower/ laundry block nice and clean. Hot water all the time. Freezer free for campers too.
Loved it so much brought the family along this year (2017) all in tents this time, with three generations plus an Italian friend ....all of different ages. They all thoughly enjoyed themselves.
Fabulous camping and caravan site. Level pitches with plenty of taps and electric hookups. The shower and utility block is well designed, clean and plenty of space. The kids play area looked good too. The staff were both friendly and helpful. And the games room was a blessing when it rained.
Back yesterday from a very wet weekend but as usual Nicola and staff couldn’t do enough for every the Easter � egg hunt was fabulous forgot to get my card stamped again but we will be back later on the year thank you all for our stay

Absolutely love this site, a little bit of paradise and less than an hour from home. The pitches are spacious and the site is kept lovely and clean. Nice shower block and a good play area for the kids...indoor games room too. Lovely little shop, fairly priced, and the family and staff are really helpful and friendly. Can't wait to come back in August!!
Absolutely fantastic place...Nicola and wardens can’t help you enough always there with a smile and a hello.. There are a few rules to follow which isn’t a problem as we don’t do fire pits or stay up passed 11pm. Dogs have to be kept on a lead,which mine didn’t and like to escape a few times with out me sorry....It’s always kept clean and tidy,showers always hot and clean. A nice little sun trap...
A lovely, well maintained site with all the facilities you need for a relaxing weekend. Nicola was very accommodating with our Basecamp rally and nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely site, perfect for our recent Basecamp meet with 20 caravans! Very friendly accommodating staff, nothing was too much trouble! Nice clean facilities and ideal location for nearby York. Will definitely visit again and can highly recommend
Really nice campsite excellent ammenities Nicola was friendly, shame about the unfriendly attitude from the wardens who totally let the place down and are the only reason we will not be returning.
Lovely site, greeted by Nicola who took time in the rain to walk us to our pitch she explained where everything was and said to pop to office if we had any problems, lovely generous pitches, site well kept and nice clean facilities shame the actual male site warden doesn't have customer service skills or manners, comes across as a bully, for this reason we won't be returning, which is a shame as it is a great place to spend the weekend.
