Nurture Nursery & Pre-School

This morning the 2-3 room have enjoyed a visit from a PCSO. The children got to explore the police car, as well as the uniform. The children all took turns to sit inside the car setting the sirens off. We were all super excited! 🚓😆👮‍♂️

Unfortunately we are going to have to close due to lack of staff. We have reached our ratio of 9 children. Thanks Angela

SNOW!!! At present most staff are stuck in traffic or can’t make it to work at all. Also both Station Road and Brabyns Brow are barely passable. Some schools have already closed. We may struggle to stay open today. If you are not coming in could you please phone nursery and let us know on 0161 427 9891

The 2-3 room have enjoyed a trip to Etherow park this afternoon. We all wrapped up warm, and took a bus ride to the park. Once there we enjoyed snack and a walk around the pond with the ducks.

There has been a technical fault with the internet today which we were hoping would be resolved by now. Unfortunately this means we have been unable to update parentzone today.

Some of the 2-3 room have enjoyed a visit into marple. We walked around the shops, to buy some stationary. And we enjoyed having a look at the fire engine at the fire station.

This term in the 2-3 room we are focusing on 'People who help us' and each week we will covering a different topic. This week is our amazing 'Fire Service' and the children have been participating in different activities from sensory play involving paints, shaving foam and emergency vehicles to mark making, and water play plus much more...!

The babies have started their new theme today (Winter)­. They enjoyed posting baubles and balls through differen­tiated holes at differen­t heights. Some babies were able to reach high and crouch low to do this activity­. Younger babies were able to post balls in the lower holes.
This winter tower also had differen­t material­s on it ( cotton wool, glitter, string, card, ruff material and tissue paper). Which helps develop the babies sensory skills.

FRIDAY!
Friday is our last nursery day before Christmas! We are having a pyjama day, therefor all children can wear pyjamas if they like. All donations made throughout the week are being donated to MacMillan cancer care.

This week is Christmas Jumper Week, all money raised will be donated to MacMillan.

We are currently experiencing issues with the internet and are awaiting an engineer.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Davies, we wish them many years of happiness x

In the run up to thanks giving the toddlers will be exploring a little bit of American tradition with food tasting as our afternoon snack.
DAY ONE: Mac and cheese😋😛 and it was safe to say the toddlers loved it !
