Health is like a jigsaw puzzle with some #nutrition pieces, and some relating to #exercise, #genetics, #microbiota, #sleep, mood, relationships, etc.
Making sense of complexity that isn't easy to standardise is a challenge and requires systemic thinking.

A colleague of mine wrote this and it really resonated with me. Thanks Jody!
This is a wonderful graphic depicting what I do as a Nutritional Therapist. There are so many pieces to the puzzle that is the human body and it’s super exciting breaking it all down and hopefully making you, the client, feel your optimal self.
So I don’t just tell people to eat kale as someone mentioned the other day...!

#prettymuddy5k with @michelle_love_my_garden and @chlotropia - that was great fun and very muddy!

For so many years eggs were demonised as bad for heart disease risk. Whilst you still need to source good quality eggs and cook them gently, they can safely become part of a healthy diet at around 2 per day.
If you have a lot of inflammation, save them for lunch or dinner.

I appeared on the BBC news channel last week and someone kindly recorded it for me.

User

Just make sure they are cooked at a low temperature and organic.

Apple cider vinegar can be an amazing addition to your health and beauty routines, and is packed with nutrients and beneficial bacteria and acid.
It's lengthy double fermentation breaks down nearly all sugar from apples, and forms an extremely valuable compound: acetic acid.
Acetic acid is a mild acid also found in coffee, and it boosts your performance by lowering blood pressure and blood sugar, and fighting off unwanted microbes.
... Apple cider vinegar is the only vinegar recommended on the Metabolic Balance. Most other vinegars contain significant amounts of yeast and fungal by-products that function as antinutrients and can limit your performance.
It’s also rich in Malic acid that helps break down Uric acid. An underlying cause of joint pain and gout.

"Now for the first time, researchers have found a link between gut bacteria and arterial stiffening which suggests that targeting the microbiome through diet, medication and probiotics may be a way to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease."

Very interesting article for those with autoimmune conditions.

I cannot thank you enough, Laura, for turning my life around. My metabolic age dropped 14 years - how amazing is that?
