Nw Ipswich Skate Park

Opened on 31st October 2015.

Work has recently finished on the construction of a new skatepark in Whitehouse Park. The new park was officially opened by the Mayor of Ipswich on 31st October 2015.

This project has been ongoing for several years and is being made possible with help from various streams of local funding; the North West Big Local Trust, The SITA Trust, and Ipswich Borough Council’s North West Area Committee have all contributed funding towards the design and construction of the new park.

Rigorous consultation has taken place in the past year to ensure that the interests of skatepark users, local residents, and local businesses were all taken into account with the design, placement and construction of the new skatepark. Skaters were also invited to view designs and help steer the designers at a consultation event in April 2015 and have been involved throughout the tender process.
