Without the generous support we receive through legacies and gifts, we simply would not be able to continue to look after the 4000+ animals that come through our doors every year.
This is a great little article about why some people choose to leave gifts to charities, no matter how small.
... If you have a couple of minutes, give it a read and get inspired π

Luckily she made a full recovery and we've been able to succesfully release her back to her home ππ¦πππ
π¦ Our foxes need your help π¦
We are in desperate need of someone to transport some materials for us so we can build a new fox release site.
If you have a trailer, van or lorry big enough to carry 10-15 heras fence panels, you could be the one to save the day ππ

Roll on next year!
Builders, we need your help!
To cope with the ever increasing number of hedgehogs coming to the centre, we've decided to build them a new home π οΈπ·ββοΈπ
We need to lay down a concrete base before we can construct the new house, so we are on the hunt for someone to donate some concrete and time to help out our little friends.

baby crow was attacked by other birds in the park the bird was jumping around but not flying so I gave oak and furrows a call and 2 lovely ladies came to collect the bird. some faith in humanity restored today xxx
What a fantastic place! Rescued a poor little hedgehog from our garden and brought him in to the experts. Hopefully we will have our hedgehog home soon. Such caring and lovely people working there my daughter loved meeting some of the animals there. We will be fundraising for you.
We rescued a small hedgehog yesterday which is too small to survive on its' own - it was being attached by a magpie. We warmed him up and fed him and he brightened up a lot. Today we took him to the Rescue Centre and they will look after him over the winter until he is big enough to be released back out into the wild in the Spring. Thank you Oak and Furrows! What a wonderful job they do - we are very grateful and are sure Mr Tiggywinkle is too!
Very grateful to Oak and Furrows for taking in a poor injured robin chick. Such a wonderful place.
Unfortunately I hit a small black bird this morning as he flew in front of the car, he was still alive so I scooped him up, wrapped him in my gloves and an old towel, and took him straight to Oak and Furrows where I knew they would look after him until fit enough to release! Fingers crossed!
Fantastic service, lovely team members which thanked me for stopping to help him. No.... I thanked THEM for helping him, what a wonderful service you provide. I hope you get lots of donations and support for years to come. Great Job!
Took a baby starling here today that had fallen from the nest, what a wonderful place with hard working and dedicated staff, had a lovely look around and saw some hedgehog babies, ducks, a woodpecker and lots more, well done oak and furrows what a wonderful job you do
Thank you so much Serena and Alison for coming to Lechlade and saving 8 ducklings. You were amazing, we're grateful to you!
Have PMd you pics to share xx
Such a lovely place and wonderful staff.
We took a baby Robin to them today (attacked by cats) and they welcomed him with open arms and FOOD!!!!
Our cat caught a blackbird fledgling and injured it. We drove 40mins to this lovely little wildlife rescue where the staff were very helpful and kind. They've taken him in and will give him antibiotics. We hope he recovers β€οΈοΈ
My Son and I found a nestling sparrow on Saturday, it was very young and still breathing. There was no sign of its nest or it's parents so we wrapped him in a tissue and took him to our vets who couldn't help but gave us your number. We took the baby sparrow home and kept him warm and spoke to the lovely Emily who arranged for Perry to come and pick up Harry Sparrow Kane in the afternoon. He's such a little fighter, I do hope he makes it. x
Last night I was just whizzing to local shop in Lambourn, I saw something move (my eyesight is bad!) and saw it was a tiny baby bird, he was breathing heavily and had virtually no feathers, my friend had told me of a lady locally to us that helped her this week so I rang, she was sadly away but told me to get the baby warmed up with a heater, and see if I could get him to Oak and Furrows. Weirdly yesterday I had shared their post for volunteers, I didn't even know off the top of my head where they were! So I phoned and said i've got this wee baby, not sure if he will survive the journey but i've got him in my car with blowers on full heat and he is definately quitel lively and hungry with his little mouth open. The lady was amazing, told me to wrap him and place on my lap with the heaters on and get him over there my eta was 10.10pm!!!!! But she said don't worry we will still be here. So off I sped, we made it i arrived at the same time as a lady with 3 baby house martins. In we went and he was fed and watered and put in a nest with some other baby ROBINS xx I have a video and pics and so SO IMPRESSED WITH THE CARE AND SET UP. I didnt' think it was possible that he'd survive the journey but with the excellent support of how to get him there and keep him alive I did it. Very VERY IMPRESSED will send a wee donation on Friday, i've also shared this TOP WORK FOLKS you are doing an outstanding job, as I left with the housemartin lady someone else was arriving with a covered box, not sure what was in it but all the birds I saw were INCREDIBLE. Amazing work, keep it up! X
I took a baby bird in which one of my cats caught and Serena knew exactly what she was doing to help the poor baby! I am so glad I have found this wonderful wildlife rescue centre, they are doing amazing things! Thanks so much xxxx
I had a Mrs Blackbird stuck in my chimney. By the time the volunteer got to me she had managed to get behind my fireplace. Once the fireplace was moved she got out and gave him a good run around my living room. Excellent service though.
My son was even given the chance to look at the bird close up.
Having found a fledgling crow in my garden this morning, I contacted Oak Furrows who were able to get a volunteer to come out and collect the bird. I know he stands a much better chance under their care.
Found an injured hedgehog οΏ½ in the front garden and took them here who were fab with him and us and sent him onto the vet. οΏ½heβs ok
Found a tiny baby house sparrow that had fallen from the nest, no way of getting it back into the nest. Fantastic advice given over the phone, and as we were 40 miles away they found a volunteer to meet me halfway. Thankyou and I know the baby stands a much better chance with you on his/her side. οΏ½
Fantastic place. Have just had to take a very young Little Owl to them. Thanks so much Oak and Furrow for helping at very short notice οΏ½
After going up to Oak & Furrows the other night at gone eleven o clock, I have a new respect for this charity. There were 3 staff there busily feeding and nursing animals and when I turned up with a blackbird fledgling they were more than happy to help. Top work
After dropping off a tufted duckling today I was allowed to look at all the patients, whilst being in my element, I saw all the hard work and dedication that it takes to look after our british wildlife,. It is not all cuddles and feeding , there is the hygiene cleaning, tearing of newspaper, fundraising, but the biggest quality that stands out a mile is the biggest of hearts to help our wildlife back to its feet and released to its natural habitat. xxx
