Oak Tree Farm Park

Have to rate this place as our favourite site yet. Jo & Andy are very warm, welcoming hosts and obviously put a great deal of time & effort to keep a quality campsite.
Our pitch was huge which gave us plenty of room for our ever growing camping equipment. We took my partner’s mum and booked her into one of the Safari tents, which are absolutely amazing! We will book one ourselves in the near future if we can. Great size bbq to use, we purchased some fresh lamb from the farm next door. Log burner in the safari tent was just Wow!Amazing.
Dogs are more than welcome here, we had 2 with us and they loved the open field to explore, along with the horse exercise arena if the horses are not using it.
Pickering is within a vey pretty area, much to do..great steam train trip , visits to ‘Heartbeat’ land etc etc.
Our stay had ..’interesting’ weather to say the least ...we can proudly say we survived Hurricane Aileen one night!. Jo & Andy checked everyone was ok which was a great personal touch.
Sad that we didn’t see the pigs as they had departed for their new home on the same day we arrived. Hens are amusing pottering around, you can buy their eggs using the honesty box.
Shower blocks very nice, clean, plenty of hot water. Coffee machine for fresh coffee available from next to the stable block and this is most welcome in the mornings.
Fire pits and logs also available using the honesty box and these are great when camping.
To be honest, Wendy and myself were sad to leave at the end of our stay, it really was a reluctant pack-away. Bacon sandwiches delivered on Saturday morning terrific.
10/10 from us. We will return!!

This Caravan & Motorhome Club CL is a lovely place to stay. The campsite for tents is good too. Jo & Andy Rising the owners are lovely people. We have been going there for the last 7 years.

stayed in safari tent the kids loved it was lots to do and Whitby near by would highly recomend

Discusting treatment....met by the gentleman owner who watched us put up the awning and settle in only to be told the next morning they had double booked and we had to go!!!
The place stank from the pig farm up the road and the site is nearing a commercial site with a raft of tents a few steps away from the CL part with two log type cabins in the same field ?
Never again, wasted a day of our short holiday....if we ran our businesses like this we would soon be out of business!

A great cl site loved it 2nd time we have been we will return soon. Only issue could do with abit of cutting back round ehu.
