visited here tonight with my dad; the service was great, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely worldly. we both would highly recommend this place.

We were served by Chim who was fantastic she knew her way around the menu was attentive and had great service. We had cocktails steak dinner and dessert and all of it was great steak was succulent and had amazing flavours the cocktails weren’t short of alcohol and the dessert was amazing. Very well presented and the smoked chilli brown sauce is a must try!!! Thank you all for a rememorable experience since your renovation. We will be returning

Visited yesterday with my husband and 5 month old was great! Good sized portions on the starters and reasonably priced the Major oak beef burger was nothing like I'd tasted before! Will defo visit again!

Visited Oaks for lunch as an early Mothers Day treat & was glad to visit after its re-opening. The food was delicious and the service was above and beyond what we expected of them, especially with our little boy. Fantasic food, service and staff. Cannot wait to visit again!

Very attentive staff & scrummy food. We had a delicious lunch! I highly recommend the mac & cheese with spinach & portobello mushrooms. Also had the green beans & they were gorgeous! Hubby managed his burger but I brought half my mac & cheese home!

I had a meal here tonight under the reservation of Sadie, the service was fantastic & the meals were absolutely spot on! I had the Major oak burger - couldn’t ask for anything more enjoyable.� ThankyouOaks for a lovely evening and the super service you provided. �

First visit since it reopened and was very impressed. I had the pork belly strip with truffle mash and green beans in garlic wow wow wow

Ate here with my hubby last night and the food was awesome. We were really well looked after and the meat was so tasty. Will definitely keep coming back to Oaks!

Roast beef was absolutely incredible. Food amazing. Waited a long time for service though unfortunately and was completely mis-sold a freakshake which was missing a few listed components. Didn't complain though and paid because the dinner was that damn good

I had the Sunday roast off of the Mother’s Day menu it was really good staff spot on and helpful no complaints Although the price could be a little cheaper � £17.95 just a little o.p

bland sloppy boring and cold chicken with a some kinda tomatoe sauce on it.

the ribs where ok but bland and hardly any meat.

so yes they might be endless but if you can stomach the sloppy meat with no taste then its good value.

wont be going back again.

We were there for 30 mins before anyone approached us or rather we asked for menus.. men wanted the challenge oh no we haven’t got the correct size patties ok whole chicken oh no we only have half chickens you’d have to wait 30 mins for some to be ready to cook.. third choice wow you have that.

Kerry asked for salad with hers got chips! Asked for peppercorn sauce didn’t arrive.. Nestas starter totally wrong..



Men’s burgers bun dry burgers but dry no juice at all but not so bad just not great..



Eventually after complaining about messing up of food got Kerry’s meal and Nestas starter taken off the bill..



You might think oh that’s good but it was my sons birthday and it was not a good experience so his birthday meal ruined...



I can not recommend Osks for the service or the food aid avoid it if I were you end of.

We finally visited our favourite restaurant for a family birthday celebration, after awaiting its re open. Felt slightly disappointed, food standards definitely not the same as before. We always enjoy the best steak at Oaks, but didn’t taste anywhere near as good as before. Especially when your paying £17 for a medium rib eye for it to be half well done and flavourless. Little touches missing like the garlic butter and not serving it on a board, to me looses its touch. Also not having chosen drinks on the menu, then ending up with a loot warm beer. Very disappointed � we used to love this place. Service could be improved having to ask to order food and drinks, plus we where the only people in there.

I visited Oaks for the first time last night, I left very disappointed. We waited 15 minutes with the drinks menu in front of us waiting to be served. At the time the place was very quiet, so there was no excuse, I think we were simply forgotten about. In the end I had to get up and find someone, he apologised and took our drinks orders and brought us the food menu. I ordered a sirloin steak and my friend had the Veggie Burger. The food was terrible, I ordered medium rare and it turned up grey and over cooked, I spoke to the manager and she quickly apologised, and replaced it for a new one. Well it turned up still Mooo’ing on my plate, In the end I was refunded the price of my meal and offered a free drink. We left hungry and disappointed. For £17 a steak the chef should know how to cook one! There also seemed to be conflict amongst the staff members, which they didn’t bother hiding. I would recommend avoiding this place! The only positive part of the evening was the hospitality of the manager, she was brilliant! I left feeling sorry for her, she shouldn’t have to be apologising for the standard of food coming from the open kitchen, the chef should be!

Went for food on Friday and half the menu was missing because they didn’t have the food it in stock! Our table was book for 5pm and the waitress told us they’d run out of chicken and other dishes from the night before!! Had a T-bone steak costing £48 and there was more fat on it than meat. The meat quality altogether in our group of 9 people was poor suggesting that Oaks meat supplier is not of a good standard! Orders were also messed up and took over 30 mins for us to even get drinks!! Wouldn’t recommend here at all there is lots of nice places in Nottingham to eat and this isn’t one.

Waited over an hour for our starters and one of the starters was sent back as it was £6 for a single sausage which tasted horrid. Our mains were cold and when sent back they were still cold when they came back out - ridiculous. A waitress spilt gravy all over one of our table and the Assistant Manager had an attitude problem. All in all a dreadful meal.

Hello we had a table booked in your restaurant last night and I’m afraid to say the food was shocking I received a piece of tough steak on a plate with a pile of salt on the side and a bowl of chips with a few strings of cheese on top which I assume was supposed to be grated. Our meal was over £100, the food was really poor value for money. My daughter booked the table for my birthday so I feel really disappointed with it . Sirloin and rump are really cheap cuts of meat and I did expect a lot more after looking on your web site which leads you to believe that your guaranteed a delicious meal which I’m afraid we did not get 🙁🙁
