Yesterday we headed to Ta Mill on the Cornwall- Devon border for the wedding of Teresa and Ben. We served a selection of homemade canapés, roast topside of local beef with creedy carver chickens cut on to platters for guests to help themselves along with roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. For dessert Teresa liked the idea of sharing bowls of brownies, baby pavlovas, fresh berries, red coulis, and warm chocolate sauce. In the evening we served a finger buffet of homemade goodies... The newly weds had an amazing cake made by a guest that was very sparkly as requested by the bride and looked fantastic. Many congratulations again Teresa and Ben and we wish both a life time of happiness 😊

Back in September, we had the pleasure of catering for the marriage of Cornish young farmers, Heather Amy Uglow and Sam Uglow. The couple married at Werrington Church before returning to Sam's family farm near North Petherwin. This weekend we returned to the stunning Coombe Trenchard for the wedding reception of June and Peter. They wanted an intimate afternoon with close family and friends enjoying canapés, a three course wedding breakfast along with a cheese board and pasties. Last Saturday and to finish our half term week of weddings we catered for Kayley and Charley that married at Launcells Barton, near Bude in Cornwall. After their ceremony we served a selection of homemade canapés followed by sharing pots of lamb tagine, beef bourgignon and vegetable korma with lots of crispy sauté potatoes, rice and Mediterranean roasted vegetables. The perfect menu for a blustery cold day. Desserts were a trio of sticky toffee pudding, Pavlova and Creme Brûlée. In the evening we served pasties along with cheese and biscuits. A great wedding to finish the week, many congratulations again Mr and Mrs Cook 😀

Last week also took us to Sourton Village Hall, near Okehampton, where we had the pleasure of catering for the beautiful autumnal wedding of Emily and Dan. The couple married at the church next door before returning to the hall where we served a buffet of the couples favourites including chilli con carne, chicken korma, beef casserole and vegetable tagine, all proving popular with the guests. Thank you Emily and Dan for letting us share in your special day and many congratulations once again! ❤️

Last Thursday we had the pleasure of returning to Coombe Trenchard a truly beautiful venue and working with the fab Hatch Marquees team for the wedding of Aku and John. We also got to meet Kayleigh who is working alongside Mark from Evolve Photography, who was doing a great job! Aku and John wanted a relaxed barbecue with lots of homemade salads and a trio of desserts to follow. Later in the evening we served warm pasties and a cheese board while the guests danced the night away. We hope you both had a wonderful day and many congratulations once again 😀

We used Oaktree Occasions for our wedding on the 12th July. The service from our first enquiry with them, right through to the wedding day was exceptional. They provided us with so much guidance throughout the planning of the wedding, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Jo and Caroline and their team were superb on the day, we couldn't fault them. The food was amazing and the staff were so quick to get all the guests fed, and it was all very relaxed. Thank you to you both!!

Not only did Caroline provide us with incredible food that was both hot and delicious, Jo was the organisational maestro ensuring the wedding reception ran as smoothly as the lemon panna cotta served for pudding!! Our meeting before the wedding showed us that we had chosen well, as their impeccable organisation, planning, and professionalism was evident, and we know the smooth running of our day was largely down to this. They went out of their way to make our day unique, such as hanging our top table bunting the morning of the wedding, announcing our speeches, and even learning a new napkin fold to hold our menus on each place setting! The staff were so friendly to all our guests, and of course, everyone commented on how delicious the food was! Jo and Caroline catered for our wedding on the 18th April 2015 and I honeslty could not have wished for better people. Food was incredible. Everyone enjoyed it and we have had a lot of compliments on how lovely it was (even from the farmers!!), including the evening buffet too. Nothing was to much trouble for them!

Jo also helped run the day as smoothly as possible by keeping an eye on timing etc. And also the lead up to the day, through out all the planning jo and Caroline were only a phone call away, so helpful and I felt like I could ask them anything which is what you want when it comes to planning the big day!they helped with any queries I had and doubts. If I had to do it all over again I'd have no second thoughts in having them. Honestly was the best food if ever tasted and service with a friendly smile. I recently went to a wedding catered for by Oaktree Occasions, I'm allergic to both gluten and dairy and my menu choices are usually very limited however Oaktree went above and beyond to cater for me, creating amazing canapés, and replicating all of the 3 dishes on offer (chicken korma, vegetable tagine and beef casserole with dumplings) without wheat, gluten or dairy. I also had an amazing pudding of fresh fruit and meringues. For the evening hog roast they provided gluten/dairy free bread and stuffing which was lovely - would 100% recommend Oaktree Occasions!
