Lovely time had by all here today at Oakview Lodge as we had a visit from a couple of furry friends. Thanks to Dawn and Sandra for bringing them along and putting a smile on everyoneās face.
What a lovely party! Thanks to everyone who came and joined us, we had a great afternoon at our First Birthday. Kezi baked a fantastic cake, we gave away some great prizes in the raffle, Paul Griggs entertained everyone with his singing and the Mayor, Barbara Fitzsimon, came and said a few words, aswell as helping cut the cake. We had a great afternoon, as the photos show!
We recently had a 'Dementia Friends' Session run by Ela Jackson and attended by HCPA It was an eye opening experience and really helped us understand how the world works for someone living with Dementia. We hope to have further sessions in the future, so if you're interested please let us know!
This is our very own, beautiful dignity tree created by our residents for Dignity Action Day. Residents chose the words used and painted the stones with a great deal of love and patience. Respect dignity and spread the word! #dignityactionday
Don't forget our First Birthday Party, which is on Friday! We'll be celebrating from 2pm-4pm, with the Mayor Councillor Barbara Fitzsimon opening proceedings with a few words. We'll then have Paul David getting everyone dancing with his songs and Birthday Cake, Bubbly and a free raffle for everyone to enjoy! Can you join us?
We recently had our CQC inspection and the report has now been published, with an overall rating of GOOD. Congratulations to the whole team who worked hard to achieve this. Please take a look at the report here, as it has some really good feedback https://www.cqc.org.uk/location/1-4703232 822
