Two exciting things in one image - the Swedish cardamom soap is back, so the shop’s smelling lovely; and we have some beautiful new soap dishes, handmade for us by Katie Coston of @illyriapottery just down the road in Jericho! These are in store now and will make it to our website soon, and are available in a black and a clear glaze.
Thanks for popping in Mollee!

Such a treat to meet Marco and Alisa, the amazing duo behind @kioskkioskny who stopped by today - these guys were such an inspiration to us when we were setting up shop all those years ago! #inspirationalpeople #vernacularartefactsforsale #thanksforstoppingby
The wonderful Kami arrange has finally arrived, after sending its leisurely way from Japan! Kami means paper in Japanese - the name was chosen to reflect the uncommon light, thin qualities of these vessels turned from solid blocks of locally grown Kalopanax wood by the skilled craftsmen of @takahashikougei. Kalopanax is the prickly castor oil tree - a hardy deciduous tree native to Hokkaido, which once cut is seasoned through many cold Asahikawa winters, ensuring its stability, both for working and a lifetime of use.
Could this be the cutest toy car in the world? Made by Hohenfried in the German Alps, where learning disabled adults work in sustainable community workshops making beautiful, timeless (and cute) toys.
