Occasion Cakes And Catering Ltd

So I decided to give this cake away to charity rather then sell it cheaply. I delivered it yesterday to Ronald McDonald House in Bristol which is a charity that provides accommodation for the families of critically ill children who are being cared for at the children’s hospital. It means the families can stay close to the hospital while their children are being treated, often being away from home for months at a time. They said the families there this weekend, especially the siblings would love this as a treat. I’m glad it’s gone to a good home 👍🏻 Ronald McDonald House RMH BRISTOL

We have this lovely sponge 2 tier cake available as a customer has not collected it. The deposit was paid so we are selling it for £50 if anyone would like it. Will keep until the weekend. Full price was £80. Wording will be taken off or changed to wording of your choice. Please call the shop if you would like it

So it’s been a busy summer. Amy left our team to have her baby...we wish her lots of luck...and we had a fair few staff holidays. But still managed to make a lot of cakes all of which I’ve failed to post! So here they are! (Part 1!)

Some lovely feedback on our gluten free cakes....our baker Candice is normally shut away in the back kitchen so it’s nice her hard work is appreciated 🍰😀

Vegan cupcakes: we have some vanilla vegan cupcakes available today or tomorrow £6 for a box of 4. Decorated with buttercream swirl and sprinkles. (Colours will vary) Give us a ring or drop me a message and we will make them up fresh for you 🍰

We don’t sell helium balloons in the shop but as part of our children’s catering we do supply balloons on sticks so we will be selling these in the shop for £1 each. Various designs available. We can blow up up to 5 while you wait, or phone through an order in advance so we have time to prepare them. Specific themes can be ordered if given a few days notice. Make good going home presents at parties or just to keep your little one happy while out shopping!

My christening cake was fantastic and tasted superb not a crumb left. Collected Friday and had cake today fresh as ever (not sure it if it will go down well at fat club this week lol ) Was a shame to cut it as looked stunning thank you so much. I ordered my mother in law a cake for her 60th! I sent a picture of a baileys cake I seen but wanted it more girly! Well they certainly did that! Hand painted with icing baileys bottle with flowers around was stunning! To top it off they added pink sponge! It tasted amazing! Thank you!

Had my husbands 30th cake made here after my sons back in December was amazing, and unfortunately I was really disappointed in it�I asked for a chocolate cake with a chocolate filling and received a chocolate cake with a chocolate and jam filling, and strangely only the bottom half had jam in it? It tasted awful and unfortunately it all went in the bin. I contacted occasions privately and although I spent £73 I was told it’s what they usually put in there cakes unless I state I don’t want jam, this is untrue as my sons birthday cake in Dec only had a chocolate filling and my friends In jan only had chocolate filling. I recommended her to occasions because it was yummy. I didn’t want to give a review of one star as the design was lovely but the taste was definitely one star. I hate being negative but it was a lot of money. So if you are ordering from occasions please specify in detail and say NO jam if ordering a chocolate cake with chocolate filling.

Like other people have stated. I also randomly had jam in one tier of my chocolate cake without asking, jam and chocolate cake don’t mix! It was absolutely disgusting! Design was a bit dodgy too. Nothing beats Chrissys Cakes. Or would be best to go to Asda. Hopefully the new owner here will do things different.

I ordered a gluten free cake after having sample, which was really nice, the cake was £55, sent picture in and same instructions on order form, the cake looked totally different, was expecting a slight difference as it was bigger, but the cake was also dry, and was told they didn’t realise the colours had to be precise, really photo and instructions �all I was offered was 10 % of next order, my daughter was gutted it was here 18th, we were so chuffed when we found out they were doing gluten free, she’s had there cakes since she was born and just being diagnosed with celiac she was really looking forward to still being able to have their cakes, we are gutted �
