We stayed and got married at Oddfellows Chester on 6th July. We were thrilled with everything about it. The rooms and the wedding space is spectacular! The food is fabulous and the venue for a wedding is not stupid prices. The best thing about the venue for your wedding is the staff. Debbie our main point of contact was so friendly, attentive and patient with the many changes along the way. On the day itself we had a few hiccups that due to the staff, mainly Debbie, Matt (our master of ceremonies) and the chef went unnoticed by our guests and kept the day stress free! All the staff were so attentive and friendly! I was also so amazed by the night time staff who work overnight to get the venue looking pristine but also despite their obvious tiredness were quick to run and fetch me a cup of tea! Priceless really! Genuinely thank you for helping to make our wedding day a dream come true! �

We just stayed here for our second wedding anniversary 23.12.17 .

We arrived to a large beautiful bouquet that my husband requested and the staff sourced for us which was gorgeous and an anniversary card from all at Oddfellows.

The room was amazing clean and very modern. I love the mixture of bar restaurant and hotel � I got completely drunk on their cocktails ate in the amazing restaurant then passed out in the fab room:) just looking at booking for our 3rd anniversary see you then guys � the hotel is quirky and cool and we completely loved it. Thank you Oddfellows

This is my most favourite hotel ever!!! We got married there this weekend and had the most special day ever!!!! The hotel is just beautiful in every way and the staff were amazing, it ran so smoothly and nothing was any trouble!!!



A huge thank you to Kurt the barman. Every time we have visited he has been on the bar and has made each visit special and personal. Not once did I have to wait for a drink, as soon as u turned up at the bar he smiled and started to make my drink before u even had to ask!!!



Matt the hotel manager again is a credit to the hotel!!! From the beginning of the day to the following morning serving breakfast he was their working hard with a smile his face. He made the whole day a relaxing and enjoyable experience.



There was not one thing I could fault in the whole weekend!!!

Stayed here on Sunday for my husbands birthday and can't recommend it enough,the place is lovely and quirky anyway but the staff where so friendly and helpful from when we checked in the girl on the desk couldn't help enough and even upgraded our room for free because we had not long got married,our room was gorgeous!

Then we ate in the restaurant in the evening,the food,atmosphere and staff again where perfect,one girl in particular Jessica chatted away to us most of the night and was so lovely and couldn't do enough for us!

Will definitely be back here soon!

Myseld and my cousin came for Afternoon Tea today, the Hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff were so friendly! I would highly recommend booking Afternoon Tea, the sandwiches were fresh and the cakes were scrummy!

My husband and two friends treated me to a beautiful afternoon tea here for my 40th birthday. The service was fantastic! The two members of staff that we dealt with were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. We even had a little tour to look at the querky bits and bobs they have there! When the waiter found out it was my birthday he brought me a lovely cocktail and a special chocolate brownie with happy birthday written on the plate! We will definitely be back.

My girlfriends booked this for my husband and I. We had an amazing night away � Our cottage was spotlessly clean, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The coffee machine in the room was a particular favourite, as was the light breakfast delivered to your room.

My boyfriend and I have started staying here every year for our anniversary and we love it. The location, utilities and privacy of the apartments is perfect. The service of the staff is exceptional and the decor is beautiful and well maintained.

Meal at Oddfellows last night to celebrate out 1st wedding anniversary. We were married here on November 5 th 2016.

Gorgeous meal with attentive, hospitable staff - with the star of the show being Matt the Events Manager who always makes us feel welcome and special. Highly recommended. 🙂

Had a beautiful Sunday Dinner yesterday evening with family and a cheeky glass of fizz with it to. I have to say the pork loin roast was amazing!! I tried some of my husbands soup which was gorgeous�. I finished off with a creme brûlée it had a hint of ginger and a lovely shortbread biscuit on top with a festive star lovely touch. I really can't wait to come back again the service was superb �

From the moment we walked in for a drink we were looked after by professional and polite staff. Great service. Great food and drink. Fabulous beer garden.. what more do you need ��

Date night - lovely quirky room - Prosecco and platter to share - with a lovely Italian beer - super dessert - really friendly staff - with a wonderfully helpful and friendly restaurant manager

Stayed in hotel for my birthday weekend, booked a loft room but had to be moved to a more modern room through the secret garden an hour after arriving due to no hot water. The second room, while beautiful, did not ease my disappointment at not being able to stay in main house as planned. The hotel manager was very apologetic and offered us a room upgrade with dinner when we next stay with them, although that means having to spend money to be ale to redeem this offer! I love Oddfellows and regularly go for drinks/dinner when out in Chester so I know i’ll be back in the future. Hoping for a less eventful stay next time!

For the price of the afternoon tea i was disappointed at the lack of presentation and no description as to what items were. Something in a pot with no spoon supplied as dessert. No spoon or separate knife to serve the cream with the scone. Signs up in the undercover area saying no smoking yet 2 women sitting puffing away. Painter in his whites roaming through the bar area whilst we ate the afternoon tea and strong smell of paint as the door left open. Main doors on to the street left open also creating a through draft so it was warmer sitting in the secret garden than sitting in the bar. Had better afternoon tea for cheaper price elsewhere. No one around to complain to.

Went today for a couple of cocktails before going for dinner.......... what a poorly run Bar!!!

2 -3 staff to serve between 15 and 25 customers. Waited in line once for 15 plus minutes...... second round we left and went tobliquor&co instead- much more civilised.

Very disapointed with the food and service received here last week. Firstly they sent out a frozen Scone with the soup. Then they brought out the mains, left us for about 5-10 minutes without cutlery and without out our chips.. Chicken was dry and bland, the kiev didn't look edible. We went elsewhere for desert. I'd understand more if it was busy, but there was hardly anyone in there. When you charge those sorts of prices you expect better. There's so many nicer places to eat in chester with much better service!

We visited tonight after a family Xmas meal, the bar staff welcomed us with a rude manor and a moody welcome I must admit this really upset me after he threw my drink away( his name begins with a c) when I mentioned I’d ordered a different drink then slammed down the New drink, after the welcome I’ve had here I’m sure other places would appreciate my custom more!!!!!!!

Quite disappointing. Booked a table and we were seated as soon as we arrived which was great. We had a nice little table in the garden. We we're sat for 15mins without menus, asked 3 different members of staff for menus and still no menus, the same staff would just pass us and go do something else. After nearly 30mins I went to ask by the till and I was given menus. Drinks and food arrived quite quickly after ordering, drinks were very disappointing, it was like wetherspoons. We came here for the fancy cocktail presentation that we had seen online. Won't be returning. Opera grill or alchemist had much better service, nicer food and drinks.
