You'd think it should be one of those terrible tourist trap bars, but it's not. A really great atmosphere, the staff are friendly and cheerful. A great place to enjoy a beer or two right on the beach next to the pier, what's not to like.

We had our wedding reception here last night. The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond what we could have expected. The food and drink was perfect! We had the best night of our lives and couldn't recommend it more highly. Thanks ohso!

The best seaside venue! Amazing food, great drinks and a hidden gem when it comes to clubbing by the sea! Best part is that it doesn't cost a penny to get in!

Great location and deservedly very popular. Always had a good time in here - relaxed atmosphere, great team of nice professional and friendly staff with good balance of attentive service without being too intrusive. Reasonable pricing - never going to be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I've usually booked and never had a problem.

Where the bar is located at the end it gave it a more intimate atmosphere than some of the other bars along the front.

The staff were friendly,service was quick and the sandwiches were good,I would return.

When we are in Brighton and the sun is shining it's the place to be. It gets busy but you expect that. The cheesey chips are lovely makes a change to have instead of peanuts or crisps with your drinks Never ordered more than that so can't comment on other food on menu - never had to wait long for chips though

Staff could not concentrate when taking orders. Unenthusiastic. Looked bored. Complicated system. Ordered drinks and had to pay immediately. Then ordered food and had to pay immediately. No idea why payment for both could not have been taken together. Food was very nice though.

Really love this bar, have great memories of it. Staff are very attentive and welcoming. The only thing that let it down was the toilets as they weren't very pleasant, and the bar when ordering our drink was incredibly sticky like it hadn't been wiped down � other than that I love this bar because of its location and relaxation!

I had my 21st party at this place. I got good reserved seats, the staff were lovely but a bit slow behind the bar. A bit expensive but I had an amazing night when the DJ came! Thank you to ohso social for an amazing night got my birthday !

Attended a party, most of us had fish and chips, the best by far large fish, lovely chops mushy peas very good service I would recommend

Slightly on the expensive side but you are paying for the location, right on the beach, I guess. Sat outside in winter sunshine. Overhead heating, which was welcomed. I did notice that as people went to sit at the long tables, the benches were wet. Perhaps these could be wiped by staff before opening.

Very nice place with a very unique view but the service should change and improve their skills! Also being charged always £3 for a portion of chips is a total joke because everywhere else is included in the meal price �

Very friendly staff but they didn't know how to prepare the drinks and food. I ordered a drink from their list and they didn't know how to do it. Also got a brie cranberry sandwitch which wasn't very tasty, just white bread, butter and brie.

Unfortunately only half our group got the meal they ordered the other half were left waiting until we complained & it arrived just as the rest of the party were finishing theirs. Even then the meals that arrived were wrong so one of us was left without a meal. No apology or compensation offered just a refund on the meal they didn't serve. Shame as could be a great place but based on this would advise to steer clear

Seriously the staff here need to show some enthusiasm for the job they are doing, miserable and lacklustre - dirty cutlery, dirty tables, no napkins - tacky and run down bar / grill. The only thing that saves it is the beachside location on a sunny day.

Redeeming factors:

-Good location.

-Big coffee mugs



Everything else: way below average.



Toilets were grotty and full of rubbish. Customer service was unenthusiastic at best, actually quite rude. The management seem disenchanted and tired, this attitude seems to roll down to the majority of staff. Food was okay, but I wouldn't pay for it again, nor come back to the venue in general. The music was in pretty poor taste (an hour of generic blues music) and very repetitive.



In general, pretty meh!

Lots of staff milling about chatting, I had to complain about my glass as it was filthy and the girl cleaned a new glass with water only and dried it with a serviette while telling me it was the dishwasher detergent. This only happens when the cycle is too short and water not hot enough!

Food was ok, not startling. Probably wouldn’t rush back tbh.

My £10.95 breakfast came out with wrong eggs which were burnt / crispy and no sausages or tomatoes with hair on the cold toast! Sent back only to have the same put in front of me with the sausages this time but no tomatoes and by now all stone cold!

Disgusting and will not be back!

Bad over priced service ordered a pimms came in a half pint glass ( very lady like ) the glass was filled with so much ice when I took it out I had half a glass fruit tasted off all that for 5 .50 what a joke even the pt of larger was inch short bar person ignorant and outside dirty won't get my money again ���
