QNUK Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling at Work (RQF)
The QNUK Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling in the Workplace is suitable for general workplace hazards and controls associated with manual handling of general articles such as furniture, boxes, sacks and work equipment. It does not include people moving skills although it provides a solid foundation of the principles for additional specialist training. The qualification includes typical injuries an...d health problems from incorrect manual handling plus the hazards and risks of a variety of workplace scenarios. The legal framework for introducing manual handling controls and the duties under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 of both the employer and the employee are included so that candidates understand how they can contribute to a manual handling programme in the workplace.

Asbestos is a danger in many different sectors and it is estimated that 20 tradesmen, 4 plumbers, 6 electricians and 8 joiners die every week from this hidden killer. It is important to know when there may be a risk of exposure and how to avoid coming into contact with Asbestos.
Asbestos was extensively used as a building material in the UK from the 1950s to the mid-1980s. It was used for a variety of purposes and was ideal for fireproofing and insulation. Any building built ...before 2000 can obtain asbestos and they can be homes, schools, offices or hospitals. Asbestos materials in good condition are safe unless asbestos fibres become airborne, which happens when materials are damaged. This course covers the risk, why we need to avoid exposure and what can happen with exposure or when you are exposed, as well as what to do if you come across possible Asbestos to ensure you and your work colleagues are kept safe. The certificate is valid for 3 years. To comply with the HSE recommendations it is advised to complete a refresher every year.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.

My youngest Son has taken part in your Mini Medics course today. He absolutely loved it! Thankyou to Brian who made his afternoon fun aswell as teaching him valuable first aid. Jack has come home full of enthusiasm and is made up with his booklet and pen. Thankyou so much Omnis, I would recommend you guys and this course to every parent for their kids to go on.

My son attended the mini medics session today and enjoyed the whole experience. He had limited knowledge but the session has broaden his knowledge. I would highly recommend the mini medics for all children. Thank you Lisa & Brian

Having attended the IOSH Managing safety course I can wholeheartedly say, it was one of the best courses I've attended.

It can be quiet daunting doing academic courses, worrying that it may be hard to follow and understand a syllabus. That wasn't the case here. The information is VERY EASY to follow and understand, and the class has left me feeling confident enough to go forward in the workplace, proactively utilising what I have learned

Great for training will be using them in future if needed I would recommend it
