We have had a Christmas Day cancellation, so for the first time since beginning of November .... You could join us for Christmas Day .... The race is on .... Could it be you?

This has been a place I have visited since my childhood when I lived in Oxted... it has changed significantly over the years, but it is still a great place to visit. No longer on the "main" road as it used to be but worth seeking out.

My wife and I stopped by for Sunday lunch, I have to say that the staff Wee very friendly, our waitress was fantastic and the food was much more than we expected....and our bill was much less than we expected for such quality...I would thoroughly recommend the Old Bell to anyone....

Fantastic meal and superb service tonight for a family meal .. the food was tasty, the gourmet burger deal is well worth trying and the staff were attentive and reslly friendly. We haven't been for a while, so will definitely make it out go to pub from now on. Thank you

We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed a 2 course meal which was expertly prepared and served and tasted great. Loved the flowers and shrubs around the entrance, we had a lovely time and came away pleasantly stuffed.

The only criticism would be at lunch times the staff cannot always be found and we waited some time to be served drinks and then had to find someone to order food, other than that we recommend The Old Bell very highly.

It was standard . Tonight was a disappointing visit . For the money they charge ! It should be at a higher quality . The ingredients should be locally sourced and be fresh not frozen. The presentation should be at a higher level as 60-70% of what you eat is with your eyes ! You should not false advertise . They need to up their standard if that want to charge the prices they are charging.

Had ( an expensive, for 6 people ) Christmas dinner here on Christmas Day 2014. To say it was tragic was an understatement.... Food and service comically bad. Not been back since. Only thing saving it from one star was Chef & Brewer refunded half our food cost in January. That "Champagne Strawberry" dessert was Strawberry Angel Delight, and that was the best course �

Went here for Fathers Day , service awful food awful except the steaks! The meal took three hours to serve and we had to chase them for several dishes! Soup didnt arrive then told that they had run out so one person had to have their curried lentil soup which tasted like watered down packet curry sauce. Dishes arrived without sauces that were included in the description , which unfortunately I didn't realise until I read the description when I got home . The Caprese salad consisted of 1 cherry tomato , slither of avocado chopped into minuscule chunks as was the mozzarella ! There certainly wasn't a pesto dressing as described ! The main dish salad was basically a bowl of lettuce with unripe mango in it boiled potatoes not roasted as described , and two bits of asparagus . The salad wasn't eaten as it was so dull! We complained to the waitrose who asked us what did we want her to do about it! We asked her to feed this back to the manager . She told us that if we had complained when she asked us if everything was ok , they would have taken the unsatisfactory meals of the bill! The problem was , she didn't ask us at any time if the meals were ok! You would have thought the fact that one meal wasn't touched was proof that this meal was not satisfactory ! The youngest member wanted dessert so we ordered two in total , we waited 30 minutes and no desserts arrived! We then had to chase the desserts , it appears that despite complaining the waitrose hadn't bothered putting the order through to the kitchen ! Not at any point did the waitress apologize , only one that was not our main waitress apologized !!

I have never experienced such bad service or food . The whole experience took three hours , needless to say I won't be returning ever!!!!

We had a prebooked table. Walked in and the manager was so rude shouting at all the customers because SHE had dropped some

Glasses on the floor. Food was prebooked yet still took 2hours to come

Out. 3 hours later there was still smashed glass on the floor which I asked to be cleared up as we had young children with us only to be spoken to in a rude manor and told no, so when I asked for a dustpan and brush she ordered a young boy to do it.

Thank goodness for Sophie, the waitress who wasn’t on shift that day, she actually bought our food out from the kitchen and sorted everything.

An absolute shambles and terrible rude manager.

Walked into a not very busy pub and asked for a table for two. Meet with pure panic but shown to one of the many empty tables. Given menus but then we were ignored for the next 25 minutes.

We walked out.
