We went to be our guest this afternoon and it was fab. All the staff was amazing especially Jason who was great with my little one. Belle was a true princess!!! For me to write a review they must be good as I never get round to doing it but this time I wanted to say a big Thank you for a great time

We recently got married at old down and wow the manor is amazing with amazing views. Emma has been nothing but helpful we originally were getting married at another venue but 2 months before wedding the venue suffered water damaged which then we found old down. Emma helped us so much in getting our wedding sorted in the very short space of time which took a massive load of stress off us. When it came to the wedding day she unfortunately had an injury to her hip but still came in to make sure we were all set for our wedding and to introduce Jason who would co-ordinate our wedding day. Jason was amazing so fun and helped our day go so smoothly even giving my future husband a shot of Dutch courage� to settle his nerves. All our guests said how lovely the venue and staff were. Thank you all ��

The venue was absolutely stunning, I remember we both fell in love with it when we'd come for a viewing the year before. The views, the décor, the layout, and the bedrooms are all simply stunning. I love that everything is neutral, which means that any colour scheme works fantastically!



I want to say a special thank you to Emma, Jason, and Molly who helped us with the planning, and looked after us excellently on the day. They made sure that everything was seamless, and that us and the guests thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.



Myself, my husband, and all our wedding guests were blown away by the level of care and attention to detail that was given to us.

We got married at Old Down in early May and want to say a huge thank you to Emma, Jason and the team for helping to make it so special.



We chose Old Down because of the amazing view and grounds – which looked even more spectacular in the spring sunshine. The atmosphere was relaxed, service discrete and friendly, and the food delicious. We had great comments from our guests.



Emma was a great support to us in the months leading up to the wedding, helping patiently with all our questions. On the day, Jason was amazing – he has a good sense of humour and kept the day moving smoothly so we could just relax.

We got married at Old Down at the end of November and had a wonderful day. The house is beautiful and the place looked stunning. Jason was our coordinator on the day and he went above and beyond to make the day special for us. His attention to detail was exceptional, he worked hard to make the day unique to us and it was much appreciated. The food was excellent. The bar team did a great job both on the day and the next morning. Everyone was so helpful and we really had a perfect wedding day. I would highly recommend this venue if you're looking for an experienced team who will make your day run like clockwork. Thank you so much to the whole team at Old Down... We got married at Old Down Manor on 7/4/18 and would like to thank Katie, Jason and the rest of the team for making it such a special day. As experts, they were on hand to advise us through the planning stages. Jason was also a fantastic 'master of ceremonies' who made the day run smoothly and meant that we could relax and enjoy ourselves.

We were first attracted by the amazing grounds and view across the Severn Estuary and once we saw inside Old Down Manor, we were sold. The decor is simple and elegant, so does not need much to turn it into a dream wedding venue. The accommodation was amazing and made it easy to have families with young children to enjoy the whole day. The bridal suite in particular was so amazing that we invited people up throughout the day to take a look! Staff were friendly throughout, even during breakfast after not much sleep. The bar has a wide selection and matches up to the high quality food provided.

Another highlight was a visit to the country park the next day with guests who had stayed at the manor. It was great to extend our wedding experience as we didn't want to leave and we know we can visit again in the future to relive some memories. Thank you so much Old Down for providing the perfect setting for our wedding.

We brought my 5 year old daughter to the frozen afternoon tea event today! Just wanted to say wow! What a lovely venue and what lovely food! My little girl loved the special guest - Elsa - really made her have a special day! All the staff were friendly and fantastic and in particular Jason made my daughters day- he was so friendly and funny! Many thanks again - will definitely book up again! �

We (my husband, my 3 year old and a 6 month old) had the Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea yesterday for my birthday. It was amazing! The setting is beautiful, the decorations were incredible, the food was delicious and the surprise (Belle arrived!) was not expected but made my 3 year old star struck! Such an amazing day for us all

The best day of our lives!! We had our wedding here on 24th June 2017 and we can't even begin to describe how amazing all the staff were at Old Down, both on the day and during all of the planning. Olivia, Buffy and Katie were great during the wedding planning and answered all of our (many) queries. Jason made sure the wedding day went smoothly allowing us to enjoy every minute. My wedding ceremony was held here Friday 21st April. It was amazing! The house and grounds are fantastic. All the staff and wonderful, helpful and very organised. Jason looked after us, he was a lovely guy and ensured everything ran smoothly and according to plan. My wedding coordinator was originally Adele, and changed to Katie a few weeks before. Both ladies were fantastic, very informative, helpful, organised friendly and nice. Thank you so much for helping us celebrate our special day.

I have photographed several weddings at Old Down Estate and have always produced some of my best work here. The grounds have the most amazing idyllic views for photo opportunities and the house itself has always offered a great amount of natural light throughout. The staff are fantastic and always really helpful throughout the day. It's always a pleasure to work here.

I can not begin to describe how fantastic the service & attention to detail is. The food and venue can not be faulted and most importantly the hospitality was the best I have yet to experience. From the minute you drive into this venue, you know you’re going to have a very special experience. The grounds and building are impeccable and impressive. I was lucky enough to attend a wedding recently which was nothing short of spectacular. The meticulous planning by one of the most professional wedding and events coordinators Jason. The service was perfect, The food was what you’d expect from a venue that embodies the 5 star experience. Well worth a visit and if you’re thinking of getting married near Bristol, this is the venue.

From our first viewing right up until the wedding every member of staff that we met at Old Down were friendly and helpful. Any email correspondence was answered straight away and no question was too silly! Old Down Estate supported us throughout the wedding planning process.



When it came to the rooms we had the freedom to make them our own - a refreshing change to some venues which do not allow this. Each room was stunning and the venue wowed guests.



The food was amazing and so many people complimented it! Again all staff were friendly and helpful and the service was fantastic.



Throughout the day myself and my husband were reassured and talked to about what was happening and when. It was well organised and we didn’t need to worry about a thing.



We cannot thank Old Down enough for everything they have done to make our wedding so magical and everything we had dreamed it to be. It will be a day we will never forget.

Fell in love with Old Down Estate the minute we stepped through the door. The staircase, the atrium, the chandeliers, the lovely Ian Towers playing our favourite S ong on his piano.... sold! We had the perfect wedding day on 25th May 2018, despite the rain, the sun finally came out. Not only are the venue, grounds and views stunning, but the bridal suite is simply stunning and we had the privilege of getting ready in it. Started the day off perfectly. Highly recommend the preferred suppliers - their preferred for a reason. Becci from Bijoux floral design created a floral vision aswell as an epic staircase. Stunning. Rebecca Faith Photography, beautiful lady inside and out. Understood and captured every moment. Ian Towers, a legend on the piano! Even learned new songs for us, set the scene perfectly. And finally Katie, Jason and the team. Felt in complete safe hands the whole time, nothing was too much trouble. Jason looked after us all day and added lots of personal touches throughout. Old down now has a very special place in our heart, we will be back soon! Xx

Everything, from how beautiful the manor looked, accommodation of artists such as the harpist and band,the canapes, to the absolutely delicious afternoon tea that you prepared combined to create an atmosphere that was truly spectacular and a day that we will never forget. We had our wedding reception at Old Down Manor at the beginning of July.



The venue was absolutely stunning, I remember we both fell in love with it when we'd come for a viewing the year before. The views, the décor, the layout, and the bedrooms are all simply stunning. I love that everything is neutral, which means that any colour scheme works fantastically!



I want to say a special thank you to Emma, Jason, and Molly who helped us with the planning, and looked after us excellently on the day. They made sure that everything was seamless, and that us and the guests thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.



Myself, my husband, and all our wedding guests were blown away by the level of care and attention to detail that was given to us.

Emma has been our wedding co-ordinator for the past year & she has just been fantastic.

The team at Old Down are so organised, helpful & were welcoming to us & all our guests, nothing was too much trouble.

Everyone commented on how great the food was and the venue & grounds were spotless for our day.

We got married at Old Down in early May and want to say a huge thank you to Emma, Jason and the team for helping to make it so special.



We chose Old Down because of the amazing view and grounds – which looked even more spectacular in the spring sunshine. The atmosphere was relaxed, service discrete and friendly, and the food delicious. We had great comments from our guests.



Emma was a great support to us in the months leading up to the wedding, helping patiently with all our questions. On the day, Jason was amazing – he has a good sense of humour and kept the day moving smoothly so we could just relax.

We got married at Old Down at the end of November and had a wonderful day. The house is beautiful and the place looked stunning. Jason was our coordinator on the day and he went above and beyond to make the day special for us. His attention to detail was exceptional, he worked hard to make the day unique to us and it was much appreciated. The food was excellent. The bar team did a great job both on the day and the next morning. Everyone was so helpful and we really had a perfect wedding day. I would highly recommend this venue if you're looking for an experienced team who will make your day run like clockwork. Thank you so much to the whole team at Old Down... What a shame we can't do it again!

We got married at Old Down Manor on 7/4/18 and would like to thank Katie, Jason and the rest of the team for making it such a special day. As experts, they were on hand to advise us through the planning stages. Jason was also a fantastic 'master of ceremonies' who made the day run smoothly and meant that we could relax and enjoy ourselves.

We were first attracted by the amazing grounds and view across the Severn Estuary and once we saw inside Old Down Manor, we were sold. The decor is simple and elegant, so does not need much to turn it into a dream wedding venue. The accommodation was amazing and made it easy to have families with young children to enjoy the whole day. The bridal suite in particular was so amazing that we invited people up throughout the day to take a look! Staff were friendly throughout, even during breakfast after not much sleep. The bar has a wide selection and matches up to the high quality food provided.

Another highlight was a visit to the country park the next day with guests who had stayed at the manor. It was great to extend our wedding experience as we didn't want to leave and we know we can visit again in the future to relive some memories. Thank you so much Old Down for providing the perfect setting for our wedding.

We brought my 5 year old daughter to the frozen afternoon tea event today! Just wanted to say wow! What a lovely venue and what lovely food! My little girl loved the special guest - Elsa - really made her have a special day! All the staff were friendly and fantastic and in particular Jason made my daughters day- he was so friendly and funny! Many thanks again - will definitely book up again! �

We (my husband, my 3 year old and a 6 month old) had the Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea yesterday for my birthday. It was amazing! The setting is beautiful, the decorations were incredible, the food was delicious and the surprise (Belle arrived!) was not expected but made my 3 year old star struck! Such an amazing day for us all

As you know, Old Down means so much to me, so holding my wedding reception with you was a dream come true. The Manor and grounds lend themselves perfectly to weddings. The space feels like home and with exclusive use you are not interrupted. You feel so relaxed and welcomed as soon as you arrive. I cannot fault anything about our day. A huge part of this was our venue and the team that served us. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was sensational with many guests commenting on the quality, taste and presentation. You were able to adapt a menu to suit our requirements which was great. The serving staff were helpful and efficient. The house was absolutely spotless Louise, from top to bottom and the grounds manicured to perfection. You even ordered us the sunshine! First class service at a first class venue. The best day of our lives!! We had our wedding here on 24th June 2017 and we can't even begin to describe how amazing all the staff were at Old Down, both on the day and during all of the planning. Olivia, Buffy and Katie were great during the wedding planning and answered all of our (many) queries. Jason made sure the wedding day went smoothly allowing us to enjoy every minute. The staff also did a great job of setting up all of our decorations and the food was just amazing! All of our guests had such a good day and we wish we could do it all over again! My wife and I were lucky enough to get married at The Manor at Old Down Estate last month and it was everything we both hoped for. it's a fairy tail venue fit for my princess wife and all of the staff helped make it go very smoothly. My wedding ceremony was held here Friday 21st April. It was amazing! The house and grounds are fantastic. All the staff and wonderful, helpful and very organised. Jason looked after us, he was a lovely guy and ensured everything ran smoothly and according to plan. My wedding coordinator was originally Adele, and changed to Katie a few weeks before. Both ladies were fantastic, very informative, helpful, organised friendly and nice. Thank you so much for helping us celebrate our special day.

I have photographed several weddings at Old Down Estate and have always produced some of my best work here. The grounds have the most amazing idyllic views for photo opportunities and the house itself has always offered a great amount of natural light throughout. The staff are fantastic and always really helpful throughout the day. It's always a pleasure to work here.

I can not begin to describe how fantastic the service & attention to detail is. The food and venue can not be faulted and most importantly the hospitality was the best I have yet to experience. From the minute you drive into this venue, you know you’re going to have a very special experience. The grounds and building are impeccable and impressive. I was lucky enough to attend a wedding recently which was nothing short of spectacular. The meticulous planning by one of the most professional wedding and events coordinators Jason. The service was perfect, The food was what you’d expect from a venue that embodies the 5 star experience. Well worth a visit and if you’re thinking of getting married near Bristol, this is the venue.

From our first viewing right up until the wedding every member of staff that we met at Old Down were friendly and helpful. Any email correspondence was answered straight away and no question was too silly! Old Down Estate supported us throughout the wedding planning process.



When it came to the rooms we had the freedom to make them our own - a refreshing change to some venues which do not allow this. Each room was stunning and the venue wowed guests.



The food was amazing and so many people complimented it! Again all staff were friendly and helpful and the service was fantastic.



Throughout the day myself and my husband were reassured and talked to about what was happening and when. It was well organised and we didn’t need to worry about a thing.



We cannot thank Old Down enough for everything they have done to make our wedding so magical and everything we had dreamed it to be. It will be a day we will never forget.

Fell in love with Old Down Estate the minute we stepped through the door. The staircase, the atrium, the chandeliers, the lovely Ian Towers playing our favourite S ong on his piano.... sold! We had the perfect wedding day on 25th May 2018, despite the rain, the sun finally came out. Not only are the venue, grounds and views stunning, but the bridal suite is simply stunning and we had the privilege of getting ready in it. Started the day off perfectly. Highly recommend the preferred suppliers - their preferred for a reason. Becci from Bijoux floral design created a floral vision aswell as an epic staircase. Stunning. Rebecca Faith Photography, beautiful lady inside and out. Understood and captured every moment. Ian Towers, a legend on the piano! Even learned new songs for us, set the scene perfectly. And finally Katie, Jason and the team. Felt in complete safe hands the whole time, nothing was too much trouble. Jason looked after us all day and added lots of personal touches throughout. Old down now has a very special place in our heart, we will be back soon! Xx

Myself and Craig would like to thank you all so much for making our wedding on the 14/02/18 so special. You made the whole process so easy and really did everything you could to ensure the smooth running of the day, especially in the months leading up to the wedding with changes and requests. Everything, from how beautiful the manor looked, accommodation of artists such as the harpist and band,the canapes, to the absolutely delicious afternoon tea that you prepared combined to create an atmosphere that was truly spectacular and a day that we will never forget. Everyone even commented on how good the wine was! Everyone that stayed at the manor was thrilled with the rooms and if I had a pound for every guest that asked how we found such a stunning venue we could probably get married again! Thank you so much and I hope you're all well. We will definitely be using our complimentary passes for life so we shall both be visiting soon.
