Old & New - The Home Of Wardhaughs

'Old of New' is the home of Wardhaughs, offering small electrical goods and the 'Nostalgic Home Store', traditional homewares & kitchenelia.

Our business has been established for over 60 years and still occupies the same shop in the market place of the historic market town of Hexham. Originally owed and run by Mr Jack Wardhaugh, on his retirement in the 1970's, the shop passed on to his employee and my Uncle, Mr Gilbert Rourke. At the end of 2010 Gilbert decided to retire and i stepped forward to continue this fabulous little shop.

We carry out repairs to all manner of electrical equipment, Paul our service engineer has been here for over 25 years and there isn't much he doesn't manage to fix.
In the shop we sell allsorts of products from batteries and bulbs, cable, telephone accessories, TVs, radios, ariels, vacumn bags and belts. We order in many items to order, so if you have some thing unsual to find give us a try, we may be able to help.
We also offer home visits to install and tune you TV's, this is where Gilbert hasn't quite managed to escape as yet, as he carries out most of these jobs.
