Disappointed in this place. Our room was allegedly a double.The bed had to be noisiest bed I've ever slept in, my back ached by the morning. The room was not big enough to take a double bed even though it had a double bed in it, there was only 1 bedside table and 1 bedside lamp. The en-suite was so close to the bed we couldn't even squeeze past the bifold door, this made a night time loo visit very awkward. The wardrobe and bedside cabinet were painted in a very amateur way, not gloss paint and brush strokes were clearly visible. We didn't use the shower as we didn't want to stand in other people's hairs.
We didn't feel the room reflected the price we paid, it felt more like someone's spare box room. There was also a sort of mezzanine area in our room that seemed to be some sort of storage place.
We have been here before 3 years ago in a different room, we found it to be lovely and so based on this we visited again, never again. The communal lounge area had a strange sort of fusty smell and was dark and gloomy.
I think the whole place could do with a good bit of updating. The couple running the place were very pleasant. I'm afraid we would not recommended it nor will we be going back there.

Doing Pennine Cycleway early Nov 2016. Hosts were really friendly and helpful. We arrived in the dark as it started to snow! Perfect accommodation for us. Warm lounge, excellent breakfast. Locked area for bikes.

We stayed there two nights, old, shabby, not worth the money

We stayed one night here and the owners where so welcoming after a hard days slog on our bikes. They even made us lunch for the next day. Great stay and very family friendly.
