Visited on a very busy Mother's Day. Everything was perfect. Staff amazing. Very accommodating. We were moved to a bigger table Food fabulous. So we went for starters. Mains and desserts and coffee

Took my mum out for sunday lunch today. The food arrived quickly and was fantastic! Live music was superb!! Great atmosphere and great staff. Highly reccommend ��

Popped in here last night and had the best meal we've had in a long time...the chef came out to help us decide what to have and cooked the meal to perfection...brilliant service and fantastic food!!

My husband and I had lunch here with our friends yesterday, food and service were excellent. A lovely bottle of white wine or three and a deliciously cocktail to end a delightful afternoon.

Lovely surroundings, great staff, even better food

House plank is a winner, the Fishcakes were superb with a nice bit of heat but for me.... the Vimto Trifle was excellent and a real celebration of proper northerness

We had a lovely meal here on Thursday. The lady welcomed us at the door and was so lovely and helpful all night. The food and service was exceptional and the 50% off the starters and main meals was a bonus.

Visited last night. Had cocktails and then a lovely meal. Young guy, with the pony tail, that served us is a great asset to the place. There was a fab male singer/guitarist entertaining too. Really great night.

Whilst the food was excellent the service was a bit of a let down.



I could forgive there being no brunch menus at the entrance if the place was rammed but it was dead only a handful of people sat down.



However the chap who looked like the owner/manager sat us down and we were quickly given menus.



About 3-5 minutes later one member of staff came and took our order including drinks. A few minutes a third member of staff came with our drinks and where I had asked for a Diet Coke with no ice I got given a diet cola drink but it did not taste like Diet Coke and it had ice in.



Either the person taking our order didn't listen, didn't note it down or the person making the drinks didn't notice our order either way it came across like a lack of care and attention was given and surely if it was Diet Coke they should have said what it was.



Food arrived and this was the best bit about our visit, had it not been for this excellent breakfast my rating would have been 1.



That being said we were not asked if everything was OK whilst we were eating or even afterwards when they cleared our table. Nor when I got up to pay was I asked if I had enjoyed my meal.

Went last night food was lovely service terrible felt I was at a youthclub very unprofessional no one even asked if we were OK for drinks so we made the bar trips ourselves and didn't even get asked if everything was ok too busy standing around gossiping ... Well done to the chefs tho! Wouldn't mind it wasn't even busy definately changed

Went for dinner last night with friends. The food was very disappointing & a mistake on the menu meant we didn't fully get what we ordered. But the young man who served us was fab. He was very attentive & friendly & even nipped to the shop to get me some skimmed milk as they only have full fat milk � Without the service from this young man this review would be a one star. Won't be rushing back.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat on route from London to Carlisle. Staff were very intentive, cosy quaint pub/ restaurant but what ruined it was the horrendous music that was so loud it wasn't a pleasure.

Ordered the crab risotto and it was lukewarm when it was served! Obviously had been sat at 'the pass' for too long waiting for a waiter or waitress to serve it to our table! First order of drinks took far too long as well! I didn't want to make a fuss as I was on a date and did not want to spoil the evening! Don't think I will be returning here! Shame because it's a lovely pub but they really do need to get their act together!!

Lovely high quality food and staff were very nice accommodating with pram and dog however the portion sizes of the meals were small and a little overpriced for what you actually got. Roast dinner was excellent but lacking in vegetables. Venison burger and chips came without garnish too so a bit of a let down. If the portions were increased slightly then I would highly recommend.

I went in on Sunday afternoon for a roast with my daughter. The food was lukewarm, the roast looked like it had been sat there for hours and the potatoes were cold! The service was pretty non attentive. My daughter ordered ice cream from the kids menu which after 15 minutes of waiting (the restaurant was quiet and so scooping some ice cream out shouldn't have taken long) we gave up on. We weren't charged for our food which was appreciated but I'd have rather had a lovely hot meal! This has been the case on a previous visit too, think you've run out of chances. There are so many other fab places to eat in knutsford you're going to have to ip your game TOSH. Disappointing

This used to be my favourite pub/ restaurant around. Brought my parents a few weeks ago for Sunday roast and found cardboard (4 pieces) in the clearly microwaved veg. Told the manager who said “it was only yours that was affected” as though I had put it there myself. Emailed for an explanation but no response in three weeks.

Also spotted the chef spraying cleaner on top shelf of serving hatch with plated dishes underneath, cleaning solution could easily be seen falling onto food below.

Very disappointing and won’t be returning.
