One star is one too many for this sorry mess. 2 soups took an age to arrive despite the fact that there was practically no-one else there but us. Just a minute I'll get you some cutlery proved another long wait during which time my wife test tasted the soup with a teaspoon. Luke warm. We got up to leave but waited long enough for the wayward cutlery to arrive just to let them know our feelings. That's fine was the reply. We didn't think so. £11.70 wasted. £11.70 wiser.

Barman was pleasant, food wasnt the best, toilets could be cleaner, no loo roll in one loos, worst of all, babies dirty nappies in bag left on table were food is served, strong smell of cigarette smoke in pool/games area, not impressed!!!

Good landlord cheap pints and has a good pool table

Service first time wasn't good, barman too busy telling stories and not serving. Went back later and service was much better.

Has recently come under new management and as a result a vast improvement can be seen all round. Staff are very approachable and friendly, the place has never looked better and a warm friendly atmosphere is present at all times.
