Othello is one of Shakespeare's most startlingly contemporary plays - a masterful depiction of a life torn apart by prejudice.
Venice; a western colonial power employs the newly-married Othello, a Muslim general, to lead their army against the impending Turkish invasion. The strain of fitting into a society riven by discrimination and fear soon take their toll. Manipulated by Iago, Othello's life quickly unravels as he turns on everything he holds dear.
Following a critically acclaimed tour and London run, Richard Twyman's vital production of Othello is brought to the stage by UK Theatre Award winners English Touring Theatre in a co-production with Oxford Playhouse and Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory.

Critically acclaimed and award winning stand-up comedian, host of his own TV entertainment and stand-up show on Comedy Central, Celebrity Juice regular and the only person to ever put Katie Hopkins in her place; Chris Ramsey comes to the Coliseum for the first time as part of his autumn tour.

There has never been a better time to be an American comedian in the UK. Rich Hall's dismantling of the tenuous relationship between the two countries is as freewheeling and deadly accurate as ever.
The Hoedown begins as a withering dissection of Trump's America, but ends up being a celebration of Americana. There's stand-up, improvised ballads, cracking good musicianship and ultimately a hilarious, foot-stomping good time to be had by all.

Went to see Dick Whittington this afternoon with my family. Absolutely brilliant performance from start to finish! Well done to all involved. The Coliseum staff were also very polite and helpful. We enjoyed it that much that we booked next year's panto 'Cinderella' as soon as we got home! Can't wait!

User

Went to see Bread and Roses. A great play with some fabulous acting, amazing songs and a really uplifting show. It's on for another week, go and see it! Staff in the Coliseum could't been more helpful. A lovely intimate theatre.

User

We've been to see Oh What a Lovely War tonight & cannot recommend it highly enough. An incredibly talented cast sang, danced & played their way through a stunning & poignant production that I'd urge everyone to see. It's another reason why we get season tickets for the Coliseum & have never seen a bad show. Can't wait for Up & Under!

User

We went to see Bread and Roses last night & thought it was brilliant. The acting and singing were all good. Splendid production, well done everyone !

User

We took our 7 yr old daughter and 2 yr old son to watch Dick Whittington this christmas and it was absolutely fantastic. We all loved it and both are still talking about it. Well done to everyone involved.

User

We are season ticket patrons and have been for several years. This latest production has to be one of the best plays we have seen, and there have been many excellent and enjoyable productions. Congratulations to everyone involved, not only in the latest production The Father, but in helping to bring theatre to life - if you have not visited the Coliseum you are missing a treat. So treat yourself, you won't regret it.

User

Thursday was my first time at the Coliseum; I think it's great. We were given tickets for Bread and Roses which I had to change - twice! Both times the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. They were so again when we picked up the tickets and at the bar where we just asked for water having travelled in this heat. The theatre itself is lovely and although it's not exactly on the doorstep I definitely plan to go again. My only small criticism is the seats, we both found them an uncomfortable shape. As for the performance, we couldn't have enjoyed it more - it was fantastic! I could easily go again. Some of the singing gave me goosebumps!

User

Mmyself and husband took our 5 year old son and his friend to see Dick Whittington and it was absolutely amazing, so funny from start to finish. Would highly recommend, the venue itself was perfect for the show and the volunteers on the night were kind, friendly and very helpful. Can’t wait until next years panto

User

Loved it, almost as much as Stephen Patrick Morrissey, who borrowed much from it, excellently played, enthralled throughout. Very well done!

User

came last night with two friends for my Birthday to watch One night of Elvis.

What a dreadful evening as we were sat in the Upper Circle and the sounding was so bad could hardly hear the singer. People were so unhappy as having paid £25 a ticket a fight nearly broke out. We complained and so did others throughout the performance :(
