Olive Grove Restaurant Canterbury Description
The Olive Grove is the proud achievement of two young childhood friends, who had a dream to open a Trattoria, and serve authentic Italian cuisines. They wanted to share the food they grew up on, and share it with a culture totally different from Italy.
Whilst travelling around Europe they visited many countries and it was purely by accident that they ended up in Canterbury.
In July 2000 they were travelling through England when their car broke down on the outskirts of Canterbury. They had no choice but to walk into the city and try to find help. As soon as they stepped within the city walls they fell in love. With the help of the money one of the boy's parents had made from their olive business, they opened the restaurant you see before you today.
With the help of their families and friends back in Italy, they put together a menu that only uses the best ingredients. Mozzarella direct from Galbani Milano, Dessert imported from the experienced bakers of Sicily and Wine from the vineyards of Scardinia.
Today, even though faces may have changed, the heart of the Olive Grove is still firmly rooted with the same cooking traditions it grew up with.
